For the redzone only. We had the #1 redzone efficiency in the league last year and he was a big part of that. If he's willing to take the vet min to be a situational redzone player I think we should do it. He obviously knows how to find space and make plays in the endzone. We obviously need help finding it.
Considering how screwed the Jets are @ TE, I'm thinking Plaxico odds of getting call improved. Keller is a little dinged but every TE afterwards is pretty much done. What if the Jets are unable to pick up a decent TE from other teams' roster cuts ... or maybe they'll throw White out there for more plays & go with no TE? I know it's not ideal for Rex to go without TE on field but you've got to scheme where your talent is.
I'd be open to it ONLY if he wasn't involved in or helped cause the locker room problems the Jets experienced last year. We'll never know that so its hard to evaluate but if the guy is a locker room cancer and bad for the morale / camradarie of the team then let him stay a FA.
Yea I know its preseason but that is exactly what I was thinking. The guy is a monster in the endzone and if you need a short pass for a 1st down he's your guy. If we don't have to depend on him to stretch the field he will be helpful. If we don't bring him back theres got to be a reason that they don't want him here.
I feel fine with Holmes, Hill, Kerley as starters and Plax playing situational football. Outside of being friends with Sanchez, I don't see what Turner brings to the table.
Anyone know what Mike Williams is up to? Big redzone threat, might be worth a look because I fuckin hate Plax.
I wouldn't hate Plax back, but I think T.O. has a lot more to offer if we're thinking of old Diva's. T.O. still has NFL speed, he is rusty having not played in a while, but I think he's a better option.
When the Jets get near the endzone Plax can be a dangerous weapon. Plax or T.O. can only help this offense right now - actually a high schooler could help this offense so it needs help badly.
Just say no to Plaxico. If Plax takes the red zone snaps away from the young WRs, how are they supposed to grow? Consider that.
FUCK PLAX! We need to start getting Turner more involved in the red zone kid has made some great catches is a big body and has shown he can be very usefull in the red zone. Last year and this pre season anytime Turner has been called on he has done his jobe and is looking even better this year. co signed I like this idea but with a twist. TO wants to play football and i want him at TE. Guy is large can block and will still have hands. Also is probably desperate enough to do it. Last night showed alot more promise then previous games this pre season. If we had this line up since game 1 we would be allot further along then we are right now. Bringing Plax back is stupid would hurt the development of our recieving core, STOP WITH BAND AID FIXES!
They can grow in practice or between the 20's, we need to score points when we finally make it to the RZ.
