Cumberland missed today's game vs the Panthers.

Keller left the game and is out for the game with what is hopefully a minor hamstring injury.

And now Josh Baker's down with what looks like a very bad knee injury...

I would bet the ranch we don't see Josh Baker this year. Too bad, he was looking very versatile.

Don't think it's a broken leg...looked more ACL. Very bad cheap shot by the Panthers player. Just dove at his legs

Baker was being used more as a FB. Gotta think Conner's job is safe now. Too bad for Baker but it is what it is. Gotta move on.

I hoping for the best, but it looked like a blown knee by a cheap shot by the Panthers

That definitely is an ACL/MCL injury. That was a fuckin dirty hit, you dont go low like that in a preseason game.

Tanny NEEDS to get a TE now. Theres pretty much no choice. I fully expect Baker to be out for a while and behind him we have no one.

We may actually need Wayne Hunter... again. (as a jumbo TE). Luckily Howard's panning out thus far (**knock on huge block of wood**)

Worth mentioning: Stephen Hill just hobbled off the field. Didn't look that serious though.

Cumerbland has a concussion so he def wasnt going to play..he'll be ready by week 1.

kellers injury is minor...he was standing on the sideline all game

Baker can be replaced via 9/1 cuts IMO..and frankly i'd like to see them pick up a big blocking TE.

he's 3rd on the depth chart...I know the CS likes him, but let's be honest. He's replaceable.

That's sad because Baker could have made an impact. With the lack of targets and all.

Yes, and arguably he's not even a TE, but Cumberland is injured (and can not block) and Keller now has a hammy injury, which tend to linger (example Revis, and once again, he can not block).

Honestly, all of the are replaceable to an extent because they arent true fits in this offense. Only thing working for Keller is that he's basically the only receiver Sanchez is comfortable with maybe besides holmes.

CB Josh Norman(Rookie 5th rder) threw an absolute punk move to possibly end Baker's season. Threw an unnecessary leg tackle when the ball wasn't even close and just blew up Baker's knee. Just really unnecessary, especially since it was an endzone play and Norman wasn't even playing for the ball. I guess they don't teach you any fundamentals in Coastal Carolina so I guess I chalk it down to him being raw and having no clue on what to do in that scenario.

Yeah that was a DIRTY hit. You dont go for someone's knees like that. Especially in a preseason game. That hit had no affect on him catching the ball... We all know after the replay that his ACL or MCL is torn most likely

we need to sign a TE. I would not be opposed to signing Jeremy Shockey.

Wonder if Tebow could catch a short pass. He's got frame to block and can certainly run. After this game questions about him being a legit starting QB should be dead.

Guess we'll have to sign one of the 20 TE's the pats are gonna waive.

I like Josh Baker and hope his injury isn't serious. The jets will have to get busy and find some talent to get in here.
