Well this interesting..... http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap10...rrelle-revis-does-sanchez-have-enough-support
This is what this shit show needs......being called out by the best player on the team...now let's go sign some talent. Fire up the bird Woody!
Revis keeping it real lol he's right though... every other team with young qbs went out and got them weapons... see Tampa, Cin, IND, Washington, etc
So after 2 preseason games, Revis is questioning the offense. We now get a pass here on the board for doing the same thing, right?
He is completely right. So now people want to cry/moan about Revis making a comment that is the truth? Sanchez has been set up for failure. The JETS did nothing major to help him. And that all starts with the offensive line. Sanchez, Greene, Santonio, Keller cannot perform if the line isn't blocking. Revis is taking an indirect shot at the line. Sanchez with legitimate time is a solid QB and can play like a top 10 QB. Just take a look at all the QB's people list ahead of him. Alex Smith - 49ers helped him out with WR talent and their young line is getting better. Flacco, Ryan, Dalton, Freeman all have better protection than Sanchez.
Normally, I wish the Jets would just shut their mouth, but I think Revis is doing the right thing here. If it's obvious to him and I'm assuming the rest of the defense, hopefully Tanny, Rex and Woody will try to do something now.
Totally agree with Revis. A bunch of unproven WRs behind Holmes and a bunch of unproven RBs behind Greene and an OL that looks to be poorly coached at this point.
I think drafting Hill was a good move. He's speedy and can block. That being said, I'm not sure he can contribute right away. It's probably unfair to expect him to do much at all. If the Jets expect to win this year, then they needed to do more on offense (sure up the line, bring in a weapon). Now, I'm not sure they can. Maybe the cap prevented them? If so, that's an organizational fail.
We are $6 million under the cap. At this point lets get Plax back in camp and possibly a RB who will play for cheap.
As crazy as it may sound, it isn't a terrible idea to bring in a WR that knows the QB and can at least be a redzone target. The issue of actually getting to the redzone, however, remains.
They don't need Plax. I think Turner can be an effective RZ target. The Jets need players that can help them move between the 20's.
Having Revis say this openly right now blunts the chances of a locker-room divide between the offense and the defense. He's the best player on the defensive side of the ball and for him to acknowledge that the talent on offense is maybe not there helps keep the lid on issues that might otherwise erupt in a few weeks if the offense is as inept as it seems.
Plax was effective in the red zone last season. If you would have taken the time to watch the games Holmes was also terrible between the 20s.They both ran terrible routes sometimes not running them at all. That could have been the play calling by Schotte. Schillens is a bust and we need another WR other than what we have on the roster.
