And how many times did O'Brien have the #1 defense and #1 running game?

McNeil might have lead the league in rushing once. I am not sure. I don't think they EVER had the #1 defense while O'Brien was starting. SOMEONE on the DL was always injured, especially in 1986.

Vinny was the better passer than Chad. That's what Im looking for in a Qb first. Who's the better passer.

Spare you, because it decimates your argument.

No it doesn't b/c the pro bowl is a joke. How did we run the ball so well w/ the bad OLs? If you think our guys deserved PB nods last year don't know what you were watching. You have no argument when you use pro bowls as your argument.

as far as physical ability not many QBs have had more than Joe but durability counts and he wasn't durable. That is factored in, Sanchez has already been to as many postseasons as Joe. It's too bad we didn't see a healthy Joe, if we did this disucssion would be very different right now and we'd have won a lot more games.

The list is sad to say the least, but I went with Chad. Too bad he couldn't stay healthy. Like junc said, hopefully Sanchez moves into that spot and eventually past Namath. A man can dream, right?

Technically Joe is the 2nd best behind Favre, but for 2nd best as a Jet I have no clue.

I think Pennington would get the most votes if Doug didnt miss those field goals....

Going into the divisional round in 04, I said the ONLY team that can beat Brady and the Patriots was the Jets. Sadly, I was right.

I don't think we would have beaten NE the next week but I wish we had the chance.

That would have been a game for the ages considering just a few months earlier the Red Sox had the biggest comeback in history against the Yankees, the whole Boston vs New York for football in the AFC Championship game would have been on epic proportions.

Its a damn shame we didnt get to see it.

3 way tie right now - I'm surprised at how close it is. Poor Richard Todd can't break up the no hitter.

McNeill became the first repeat 1,000 yard rusher in Jets history in 1985/86.

Just like today the Jets were functionally inept at doing things on offense that almost everybody else in the NFL did routinely.

Whoops, missed Riggins 1,005 in 1975. I thought the 944 was his high.

Freeman was rarely healthy and split carries w/ various backs ncluding johnny hector. Freeman started 16 games once in his career,.

    You should know better.
