at this point, i would start mcelhroy and then bring in sims for the second half.

they cannot possible do any worse than the so-called first two.

It's not the play calling, Sanchez is dog shit. It's the same play calls, sanchez just robotically checks down to the dumb off every play and then throws the ball over their head or at their feet so they have no chance at YAC's. He is a broken man, it's time to put him on IR for the next two years and then cut him. I'm a Jet fan, not a Sanchez fan, I want to see the Jets win, and it's not going to be with glass-man Sanchez.

If anything the play calling has been conventional with Tebow. There's a lot of simple read option stuff that every football coach from the NFL to pop warner knows and is familiar with that Tebow could of been running. The Jets wouldn't be tipping their hand having Tebow run some stuff right out of the Gators playbook, it's what Denver basically did last year. Why have Tebow run plays in a more or less conventional offense? It's a waste of his talents. Some basic read option stuff would not be tipping anybodies hand, everybody already has hours of film of Tebow running it at the pro level.

the play calling has been totally basic vanilla offense. guys have got to block or else the offense goes nowhere. Its not all on Sanchez, but he certainly hasn't impressed anybody thus far.

Yes, it's a new OC. They aren't going to show shit, until Buffalo.

Like buffalo did with Gailey. Fitzpatrick got 50 million and after week six, once teams had film.....they sucked

The fact is Sanchez HAS TO TAKE A SHOT. He cannot do the same thing every single time he throws the ball. He has to at least give the defense something to think about. He can't just think "move the chains" on every single pass play, sometimes he has to air it out, AND HE NEVER DOES! I mean NEVER DOES! You just can't play like that in the NFL...

In other words, Sanchez is making the offensive line's job HARDER by not airing the ball out once in a while. The defense knows he's not gonna throw it deep so they stack the box and blitz on every single play. They're breathing down the offensive lineman's neck on every last play, there's no lay off no playing read-n-react on the part of the defense, they just have their ears pinned back and come on every single play.

Sanchez has to take some shots downfield. He has to air the ball out like Eli and Brady do. You've got to do that or the defense isn't going to respect your ability to beat them. If Sanchez can't do that then he shouldn't be back there. You're a starting NFL quarterback, this is something that the job calls for, you've got to be able to do it without any questions or delays.

Agreed. If we're running the football, the majority of the time, you have to play action get Sanchez out of the pocket and throw deep to hill, regardless of success, just to keep defense guessing. I know this is pre season and there is no way our offense could be this blatant obvious, predictable week 1. Come on Tony, I know trash cans that can put together a better offensive game plan.

Sanchez looked like the Checkdown Legend that he's always been. Oh well, not surprised. There was a shit-ton of ugly yesterday and to top it off, it was against the Giants. The entire Jet's team (except for the 1st team defense, no surprise there) looked sub-par.

Sadly, I agree that Sanchez might be mentally shot.

Best thing that could happen to him: Get benched for a few games, then get put back in with basically nothing to lose.

Right now, he plays like a guy who has everything to lose on every play.

Sanchez if very much the problem. Every NFL expert in the league can see it. Why can't Jets fans?

And I like the guy. Two years ago, I thought he has an amazing upside. But he's like a second baseman who can make throws to first base anymore. He's scared. And as much as all the coaches and teammates want to talk about his focus, it just ain't there for him.

Sanchez needs to get better. He can't get better when he's not getting help from the o-line and 75%of the WR group on riding exercise bikes. He should be scared because WFH is going to short circuit his career.

Hunter has been awful, but Sanchez still holds the ball way too long. And he has no pocket awareness. He has little ability to make extra time for himself.

The guys needs to just play with instinct instead of fear.

Sanchez has top 10 talent and a shit right side of his line and young receivers

In my honest opinion we gotta get Wayne Hunter out and we will be just fine
