No you're not the only one. I'm very high on him and I noticed that Turner and Mark has developed some chemistry. I'm looking for Turner to take advantage of this opportunity. I'm looking at Sanchez and how he plays, we all know the Giants can create pressure and when things break down I want to see how he handles it. I wanna see how the runningbacks perform McKnight and Powell specifically. I'm looking at the offensive line and how they do against the Giants passrush. I want to see Vlad continue to make progress. As for the defense Ill be checking out Maybin to see if he can create pressure and to see how he does against the run. The continued development of Coplea, Wilkerson and Ellis. I just hope the offense can at least put together a few good drives.
And can I say, Turner probably has the same approximate size and skill set as an old broken down Plaxico. I would love to see Turner used as the jump ball guy in the redzone. And also in the blocking set as WR in the big package. (I dunno, you gotta have your underdog to root for in the preseason .)
I just wanna watch them WIN. Preseason or not. I'll be there. Don't wanna relieve december 25th of 2011.
A repeat of the Jason Senorn incident on one of those....we' re classy and I'm not mouthing off......BUT.... Assholes Tuck would be nice.
1) Offensive line protecting the QBs. 2) Stephen Hill - looks like a promising WR, just needs to focus on catching the ball on critical downs. 3) Sanchez and Tebow completing deep passes and passing for 60+% each. 4) Pass rush getting to Eli Manning. 5) Wildcat offense (out of curiosity only, I don't think the Jets really need it... Tebow should be running the spread option when he is in).
The only one I want to see improvement from is Sanchez. Without him, we are finished early this season. I do think Tebow could fill in for a short stint if needed, but not 8-10 games. Other players are plug and play, but if the QB doesn't perform, there's no point.
IMHO! It's all about the offense...Let's see if we can get any protection and ground game...a touchdown would be nice...
No injuries The O The qb competition some first downs a TD would be nice I'd like to see Tebow get some snaps at qb against the Giants defensive starters.
Tebow impressing the Giants staff so much that they trade Eli and Paul to us before the season starts just to have Tebow as their starting QB for the next 10 years.
In the past preseasons I've always been able to form a pretty accurate win loss prediction. This yr more so than any previous I really have no idea. I think this game is important though: 1. I want to see dowtin and Davis, I think its important for us to work their speed into our sub packages 2.schlauderaff, ducasse and Howard are very important to our success this yr. They need to show ability/consistency. 3.te play in the run game - we don't have any as of now 4.turner and Jordan at wr although Jordan hurt I believe 5.k.Ellis at nt excites me more than any player on this d, I believe this kid will be a probowler eventually 6. K Wilson - his development is critical 7. B Thomas- I don't know if he makes the 53, I think he needs to flash 8. Rb - I don't think Powell has got NFL ability but he blocks. If McKnight improves his blocking I think Powell might not make the cut
Agreed 100% The offense is the weak link on this team and it really needs to show marked improvement this week against a really good defense with something to play for. Its no secret the two teams don't like each other and with that as a backdrop, we might actually see something a bit more impressive out of the Sparano game plan. At least I hope so.
A running game and a passing game, sustained drives by the 1s. DL pressure. Team focus, discipline and smart football - no stupid penalties. Kicking game.
1) Pass protection from the first unit, from the o-line, TE's, RB's and QB. If they send more than 4, I want to see the extra guys picked up. If they send more than we have to block, I want to see the QB make the correct read presnap and audible protection/routes and/or hit an outlet that should be open. A lot of people shit all over the o-line for our pass protection issues last week, but I believe they were the least of our worries in that category. Watch for the TE's, RB's and QB to pickup the slack in that area from last week. 2) Coples. I want to see a repeat performance. He obviously flashed all over the place last week. I want to see it again and again and again. I'd love to see him split a double team here or there too. 3) Vlad. Can he continue to progress or was last week a fluke? 4) Fuck WFH. Let's hope this Austin character can do something. 5) Some vertical routes from the 1's, particularly Hill. I feel like I haven't seen Sanchez throw a vertical route since 2010.
#1. No Injuries!!!! #2. I'd like to see the starting Offense have a couple of ball control drives (8+ plays) for points. #3. I'd like to see the starting Defense shut down the tight ends and keep the opposing offense under control with no long drives. #4. I'd like to see our 2nd and 3rd teams (both O and D) make IMPACT plays thus showing some solid depth at various positions.
It seems that way... I would also like to see a RB (McKnight or Powell) show something more, an explosive run would be nice- something I dont think we’ve seen since 2010 either.
It would be nice to see some offense, but...I wonder if they won't play it close to the vest so it takes a few reg season games for teams to get adequate film to prepare
I want to see Sanchez get into a rhythm in the second quarter. A TD in the first quarter would be icing on the cake. I think Sanchez gets too much of the blame for last year's offense, but I think he's good enough to put the team on his back and find a way to get down the field, regardless of the WR situation.
