Ok, let me just start off with saying, I wouldn't even consider such a thing as a WR trade unless 3 or 4 Weeks into the season of no one getting any separation, much like last season. I like the potential Hill and Kerley have alongside Holmes of course. So if we were a couple Weeks into the season with WR trouble, who would be your first trade option or free agent signing. Try and keep it realistic.

Again, just trying to get a conversation going. Some of the threads lately have been.... Well you all know. Tbh, I think we will be fine with what we have.

Word is its Braylon vs TO in Seattle, and the loser gets cut.

So theres potential to sign one of the 2

However my favorite free agent wr atm is definitely Roy Wiliams

Not alot of great options, but hes unquestionably the best one at this time.

Although truthfully id also be very open to bringing in some extra tight ends or offensive linemen and run some BIG ass Jumbo sets.

    Like jumbo jumbo jumbo packages.

Id want to run our offense like the Raiders did under Tom Cable, occasionally putting 7 offensive lineman on the field at a time with tight ends and fullbacks.

I would have absolutely no issue seeing the regular Brick Slauson Mangold Moore Hunter @ the line with Howard and Vlad as jumbo tight ends with Greene/Connor/Sanchez in the backfield plus whoever else.

Then really challenge defenses to get straight up physical with us and pound the fuck out of the ball really wearing teams down and testing their depth

Stick with the receivers we have. If the OL gets back to form they will suffice, it's all on the OL/backs.

^^^ This. Then when they can barely stand up, bring in the Tebow packages just to be cruel.

WR is so overrated... think we need to fix the OL, and do something to cover the TE|RB over the middle...

Plax makes the most sense he's out there wouldn't cost any picks.

As for trade I'd gladly send a mid-round pick to San Francisco for Ted Ginn awesome awesome kr, blazing speed, starting experience at wr, he has experience in Sparano's system. He's a good player and I think he'd be a good fit here.

I'd welcome Plax back as long as he (and Sparano) understand his role. He's no longer a starter, but his height and savvy are just as valuable as they were when he was a complete package.

It's not a coincidence that, while our offense suffered overall from swapping Edwards for Burress, our red zone performance was better than it's been in years.

That said, I think that bridge is probably burned. And I doubt that Plax would want to be a #3/#4 option anyway (former stars are always the last ones to realize that they don't have it anymore.)

Given the type of offense that we run, the most important addition that we could make would be a competent #2 tight end, who can block while also presenting at least a small threat as a receiver (unlike Hartsock/Mulligan.) I like Cumberland, but he is not a run blocker.

they need to fix up the OL and establish the running game and use play action off of the running game for the WR to get open.

Stick with the WR's we have and put that effort into the O line, mainly RT. Fixing the Line would works wonders for both running AND passing game

You don't even need a superstar at wide out.

A QB who can throw and OL that blocks, those are our two big questions
