One of the best compliments you can give someone. "Great football player.....better man". He's definitely one of the really good guys. Jet fans should be proud of his accomplishments both one and off the field. I know I am proud of his all too brief time as a Patriot.

.......and Dion Sanders is an idiot

Speech on the front page. Curtis Martin, I even liked him as a player and a person when we was beating my team with two different AFC East teams. Class act.

I drew some man-tears by that story. Very powerful, even Marino's coked up ass was crying

Martin's being interviewed at the HOF game. Said he went up to give his speech w/o notes. Impressive given how good it was.

Just found the time to sit through his speech. Damn, whata guy.

Much respect for him as a man even more so than him as a player.

    Thanks for this.

It's good to hear him speak without being interrupted by Beningo.

Lots of life lessons in there.

The speech really tugs on your emotions. The guy survived the odds and shined throughout his entire college and professional football career. Curtis has always taken the road less traveled.

"At my eulogy I hope my daughter can say he was a man of initiative, strong character and a God fearing man. and oh yeah he was a pretty good football player too."

Great speech....one of my favorite lines was, "There is a huge difference between routine and commitment."

Curtis Martin was the highlight of the entire program, he was simply awesome.

Only just watched it, but bloody hell, that was emotional.

What a man. Proud he was a Jet.

I rewatched this speech after watching the Strahan speech with my girlfriend. Strahan is such a fake mother f;er and I watched this again. Jesus it's no comparison. Martin's speech was inspirational and didn't hold back. Just an amazing person.

Well, Strahan and Martin are polar opposite personalities... I don't know what you were expecting, regarding a comparison. I thought Strahan's speech was great, and very fitting of the player.
