I gota say, I'm incredibly nervous with the lack of press regarding him. He was extremely highly regarded coming out of BSU and so far while he's been good in his role, he wasn't drafted to be a 3rd CB. I really really hope that he lives up to his potential and becomes the stud we know he can be. If anyone has any articles or postings on him please put them up.

Well on a positive note, he cant be worse than McCourty was last year.

havent really heard about him getting burned or locking people down. i wouldn't assume that means he's doing bad. we do know the defense as a whole has been dominant.

Under the radar... This is his year to shine though...he has time to develop under two of the CBs in the league. He showed that he improved last year and I think it will be a break out year from him this year. Our CBs could be by far the best in the league if he comes into his own this year

I haven't heard much, which could be a good thing? Plus Sparano has been calling a ton of run plays during 11/11's (what, 22 run plays in a row or something). Unless Sparano is running a 3 receiver play Kyle wouldn't have a big role.

I personally think the lack of press is a good thing. I mean his job isn't glamorous so there's not much for beat reporters to write.

Nickle corner is the toughest to defend, so since "most" of his time since his rookie season had been played at that position, and the amount of time the Jets spend in nickle, dime, sub packages because of spread offenses... You get the idea. We have one great, one outstanding corners manning the outside, and Kyle Wilson defending the middle of the field going against fast slot receivers where he doesn't have sideline help!

I think the adjustment from a #1 corner in college, to a nickle in the nfl has been vastly understated.

His performance next year will directly affect the extension that the Jets offer to Revis (or lack thereof). His performance as well as Cromartie's will be used as leverage by the Jets organization (hoping to pay Revis less than his agents might want)

Although I definitely want Kyle Wilson to improve, it will make me worried though because I want Revis to stay; that said, Cromartie and Wilson wouldn't be bad as starting CBs (assuming Kyle improves)

Jets haven't yet had healthy receivers to cover so far as I have heard. Wilson should be fine. I've also heard Ellis Lankaster is impressing as the 4th CB. As stated before, with so many spread offenses, you just can't have too many corners.

One other note, since Revis will usually follow the best WRs around the field, often times even into the slot, Kyle has been playing both inside and out this whole time. He is on the field alot. Until he gets those ballhawking skills tuned in, he is always going to get picked on instead of Revis and Cro.

One thing I do like about Kyle Wilson is that like Revis, and unlike a lot of other corners, he's a sure tackler.

I've only seen brief mentions of his name here and there. A few pass breakups and a pick the other day:

From the way this TC has been going, no news is good news from our players.

Other than QB I think DB is the most difficult to transition from college to the pro's!!!

Corners not named Darrelle Revis tend to take a couple years to find their groove. Nothing to worry about.

It was his brother (surviveone), and he kind of faded off, which is predictable after he had to read random morons on the internet pick his brother apart while not even understanding the game of football.

Edit: lol and as I posted this I realize he already posted in this thread this morning
