Clearly he's left the position open. In fact if it remains status quo it will actually appear as if we don't have a RT.

Tanny needs to make something happen here.

Hunter starting would be absolutely unacceptable

Im confident Tanny will get something done though. Marcus McNeill would be ideal.

Does anyone know why McNeil is still on the market?

probably the same reason the otah deal didn't go through. he couldn't pass a physical with SD last season.

he is a proven player though, and is 28 still in his prime. The FO would be stupid not to at least bring him in. If I'm Tanny, I gotta be all over this guy.

I thought McNeill was a neck issue. Whatever, he's another guy who's NOT healthy.

The problem is that there weren't any decent OTs in FA who didn't resign with their old teams. Some older guys got fat deals IIRC. Demetress Bell got big $$ from Philly despite his mediocrity and his injury history.

Whatever's left on the market now is ancient or crippled.

This why so many teams took OTs in this past draft. It was a deep draft in OLers and you don't find many OTs worth anything in FA. Occasionally, you find a decent guard but you aren't finding a decent OT floating around unless you pay mucho dinero.

I hope he picks up some camp casualty or something, I didn't mind him not drafting the spot but I figured he was going to address it through trade or signing instead. If not then it's going to be a pretty bad feeling going into the season, regardless of his improvement or not.

Eric Winston whizzed by him and T-Bomb didn't flinch. What makes you think he will change?

What about free agent ex Miami Dolphons Vernon Carey. Sparano knows him best.

Carey isnt a great option, but hes had success in the run game, and is versatile since he was capable of playing guard last year.

I wouldnt rejoice if we signed him, but if its a 1-2 year VERY cheap contract, I think hed more than be worth the roster spot.

Maybe that's why Carey's NOT on the Jets?
