If the Jets had a quarterback capable of getting him the ball, Cromartie could add a dangerous element as a "package" wideout.

WTF does that mean? Capable of getting him the ball?

    That's insulting...whoever wrote it.

This post is sort of correct, in the wrong way. Are you on the old quaaludes? They make you sketchy.

I mean... Cromartie doesn't even like to tackle. That's mainly inflicting damage on someone else. Now you want to put him in position to BE TACKLED? That's having damage inflicted on you. The FUCK?

Deion Sanders was a consummate failure at WR in the NFL for this exact reason. Let the guy do what he does well. Or somewhat well. Or average, at any rate. We might as well bring back Justin McCareins.

Why stop there? How about we have Revis return kicks, maybe Mangold can take some snaps on defense?

Saw this line on the NFL site, I got a chuckle out of it.

Revis has returned kicks for us, so has Cromartie....

Not that I want either of them doing it but it has happened and it has worked.

Alot less risk for Cro to go out there and do basicly the same physical motions he already does, if Rex thinks its gonna help the team im all for it.

Don't like the idea. Unless it's a hail mary @ ending of the half or ending of the game keep Cro & Revis on the sidelines when the Offense is out there. If Cro was to get hurt this team would be screwed. Jets have so many games this season against spread offense just based on division games only. CB are just too precious to risk for this kind of stuff. If Jets have to choose a CB, go further down in the depth chart & grab Wilson or the 4th/5th CB.

Im gonna throw a number out there but I could see this happening maybe 5 times the entire season.

Physically hes doing the same basic thing he already does only 5 more times, not really a big deal.

Cromartie would be great out there. At least he is out there practicing, unlike Mevi$'s malingering ass. Hammy, bullshit fucking faker!

Rex said he would have played Revis if it was a game. I think we would all be more pissed off if Revis tried and hurt the hammy even worse. If there was a perfect in football time to get one it might be now since rest doesn't mean missing games.

Cro would be an experiment. The joke is he likes to avoid contact so he would take to the house after every catch. He can be such a playmaker and with him being our #2 corner, not number 1, it would be an interesting idea just to see what he can do.

I hope so! I'm just sayin that it doesn't bode well for the guy to get passed up by so many teams desperate at wr.

I would love the fins to sign him and see what he's got after they worked him out!

Actually, his exact words were: "I think I'd put myself as second ," Cromartie said on ESPN's First Take, via ProFootballTalk. "I haven't really played it in the past four or five years, but I can put myself as the second just with raw ability and talent going out there, I think, me separating and being a more physical guy out there on the outside."

Thanks mate. I missed that initially. Thought it was the media trying to create another story.

That was 'reported' by Rotoworld, which is a tiny step up from BleacherReport in terms of reading quality. Wasn't too long ago that Roto was basically a link mine that had no writers at all.

The fact Cro don't like pain means when being chased he will run twice as fast. Quite simple, really.
