This year the players I'm watching closely are Patrick Turner and Bilal Powell. I feel that Turner has a ton of potential and all he does is step up whenever he is given a chance. I expect Turner to get a much bigger role in the offense this year, he's 6'5 and could be our new goal line threat.

Powell never got a lot of playing time last year and rightfully so. But this year the Jets may use a 3 back set and he could be that physical workhorse that neither Greene or McKnight is.

I dont expect either of those to even be locks to make the team, let alone do something.

Coples, Wilkerson, Maybin, all our safeties, and T Ganaway are the guys im most excited about seeing in action

WRs I just dont see this team relying solely on the run game to win games we just dont have the players at RB or on the OL.

Mark Sanchez! I am anything but a die hard fan of his. I believe he has all the tools, but the mental game. He hasn't had any one push him until this year, and am anxious to see how he reacts. That being said, I think McElroy is a capable 2, and can also push him.

Kenrick Ellis! Our defense has been lacking that center piece on the DL. When we had Jenkins in there the defense performed at a much higher level.

As much as an obviously front running choice, Stephen Hill. Keep hearing a bunch of good things.

I tend to watch players who represent the future of the Jets 4-5-6 yrs from now...players like Kyle Wilson, Coples, Wilk, etc. It feels good to see our 'future' players making a big play even now, knowing they'll only get better next year and the year after.

Dragging in a hall of fame-er for one season like Favre is fun at the moment but seeing young players do well gives hope of a dynasty.

Hell, even the Bills can win one ring...um, well, ok not the Bills, but some pretty sketchy teams can go 9-7 and catch a tornado in a bottle at the right time; then fall off the Earth. Don't wanna see that happen to the mighty NY Fucking Jets!

I love to see rookies, 1-2 yr men stepping into their roles and starting to dominate...this alone gives tons of hope for our future.

edit: winning one ring doesn't hold as much water as it used to....winning multiple rings over a 6-8 yr span is where it's at. I would never trade our future stars for a host of hired guns to win just one ring, then back to the good 'ol 1-15 days for a decade. Fuck that.

I'm watching Mark, I know he has the talent, I want to see if he ever develops it.

I may be the only one, but I also want to see what we can do with Tebow, not as a starting QB, but in all the special units he would do well in.

    ...and the entire defense.

Turner stepped up against the Dolphins in the last game of the season. He is a big tall physical target. I don't see who else would outplayed him and take a spot away from him.

I think Kerley could be huge to the offense, so he's my first mention here.

Since I've given up on Keller ever being an all round TE, I am also looking to see if Cumberland can become more well rounded, and improve his blocking.

McKnight could be a huge difference maker, too, although I am less expecting him to shine than Kerley.

And if the Qb situation cannot be settled by Sanchez, I expect Tebow to also fizzle, leaving McElroy as a possible way forward to a brighter future.

On D I expect Revis and Cro to continue their stellar play, but the future will benefit hugely if Wilson can show he deserved to be a first round pick.

Landry staying healthy will be another big issue.

I expect Pace to show he belongs, too. Now that presumably he will not be so much depended on to set the edge as last year when Thomas went out, he can play more of his game.

As for everyone else here, I would also love to see Coples make a real difference in the pass rush.

Pretty much the whole offense, really. I'm comfortable with the defense but there are a lot of questions I have at offense.
