They should have the classic batman tv shows (with the "Pow" and shit) mixed with the incredibly gorey style of like 300.

    Now that would be interesting

There will never be an R Rated batman though, means way less $$$

The movie was well executed but limited by the poor script and storyline.

They completely dropped the ball with the twist which ultimately rendered Bane's character utterly useless.

Bit extreme calling him useless, as he was very important in many ways to the story plus to the twist you are talking about and the destruction of Gotham, but I do see where you are coming from.

I like the Riddler as a villain, but that doesn't mean the Riddler was the appropriate villain to conclude the story Nolan was telling with Begins and TDK, so there is no "what could have been" to his exclusion.

but my point was that the poster, beyond just being f'ing stupid in its title and hokey tone that in no way, shape or form matches the tone of Nolan's movies, is simple fan boy ignorance. whoever made that poster had no idea in which direction Nolan was taking his story so they had no basis to even speculate which villain would be appropriate for a third film.
    Bruce Wayne...old...Batman Beyond?

I didn't want to go into too much detail for spoiler...

but as soon as the twist happened, Bane was essentially castrated...especially by the one who usurped him -- being that the person who usurped him was pathetically weak...

2015 we see another Batman movie. You think Warner Bros is gonna wait that long to cash in on a guaranteed money maker?

If the fans demand it, they will do it.

I'd have Riddler as the introductory villain in time

Did anyone else think it was strange Bane sounded like Sean Connery and Jeremy Irons had a kid?

I thought Bane sounded awesome. I have heard people say that though. I haven't seen it since Saturday, so I think I will go again sometime tomorrow. I was thinking about all the Batman movies tonight and here is how I rank them:

    1. The Dark Knight
    2. Batman Begins
    3. The Dark Knight Rises
    4. Batman
    5. Batman Returns .
    6. Batman (1966)
    7. Batman Forever
    8. Batman and Robin

I drew a line which separates which movies are actually watchable all the way through.

hahahha how many times are you going to see it? I can't imagine seeing a movie more than once in the theatre........to each his own I suppose.

I really think Penguin, if done the right way, could be the best Batman villain after the Joker. The Arkham City version of Penguin was fantastic - if they could make that translate to live-action format, it would make for a great movie antagonist.

Just saw it last night. I thought it was pretty good. Like most people I think it is better than Batman Begins but not as good as The Dark Knight. My only real complaints were sometimes it was hard to hear the dialogue between characters, most notably Bane of course but there were a couple of other scenes between normal characters (Blake and Gordon for example).

I did like Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle (or whatever). Was hoping for more T&A shots though...she's hot.

I didn't read any of this thread as I was trying to avoid spoilers so sorry if that was really repetitive.

Not a chance. Nolan specifically said "this is the last batman film" for a reason. Eliminated the batman character and left the door open for a robin film.

Begins ahead of TDKR? Interesting. Although I prefer the Joker as a villain I would also swap your 4 and 5. Nevertheless I always enjoy reading the opinions of a fellow batmaniac. TDKR was awesome.

I just saw it this afternoon. I absolutely loved it. I thought it was just as good as The Dark Knight (although The Joker is one of the best characters ever)....and I would have NEVER thought that would have been the case. Loved everything about it. Where the third installment of other super hero movies (X-Men, Spider-Man) falter, this one delivers. This movie is so well tied into the previous films that I almost view it one complete saga (like LOTR). Best thing I've seen all year by a WIDE margin.
