I'm so glad Phelps was called up to rot in the bullpen while this pile of shit remains in the rotation.

^True, Phelps has great potential and has shown results in limited action.

Russell Martin has been absolute SHIT at the plate this year.

Brutal 4 games in Oakland. It felt like we were playing the Angels with all the one run losses

    According to Jack Curry yup.

Now watch ESPN break the story tommorow and act like they were the ones who broke it.

Eh, the guy's coming off his worst year (.272) and is declining even more this year (.261). He's hitting .208 in the month of July. Wonder what the Yanks gave up for him.

He sucks this year but he has never been to a word series and he requested a trade..my guess is the Yankees were top on his list. This could be what's needed to snap him out of his funk..I just don't believe age has caught up with him.

    Gardner's a better player.

That's not the question. Of course he'd want to go to the Yankees. The question is why the Yankees wanted him. I guess they have more depth now, but I don't see how he's an upgrade to the current lineup. The platoon of Ibanez/Jones is fine, and you have Granderson and Swisher in the other spots.

    D. J. Mitchell and Danny Farquhar

Ichiro has always been one of my favorite players so it's gonna be hard to root for him in a Yankees uniform but at the end of the day other then that awesome Mariners team back in what I think was his rookie season he hasn't been to the playoffs so if he did win a WS he'd have earned it. Guy has played on terrible teams almost his entire career and has always put the Mariners first. Would be hard to be upset if he wins one this year.

Sounds like Barry The Baptist is a member of Mets Fans For Yankees.

I would not be happy for Ichiro one bit if he won a World Series with the Yankess.

A-Rod broken hand. Chavez is now the starting 3B I am guessing. Yankees might swing a trade to fill that spot

I'm pretty sure they said Chavez can't start every day in the field. So unless they acquire someone, it would be Chavez and Nix.

Losing A-Rod is not that big of a deal.
