OK I know it's been done numerous times already, but after a few weeks of TC and 2 pre-season games which QB would you start week 1 if it was next week?
Chad, only because Clemmens is a rookie and I don't want to throw him right into the fire, let him learn from watching the vets.
gotta be Chad for now. He deserves this last shot, because he's worked so hard and I think he wants to finish what he started. I do believe however, he'll be on a short leash with Mangini, as Clemens could be an injury or a couple of bad outings away.
It almost certainly is going to be Pennington trotting out on the field at Tennessee week one. Everyone questions how long he will last though. 5 weeks? 10 Weeks? 16 Weeks? This is absolutely Pennington's last chance though. If he either gets hurt or doesn't play well, he will be benched after the season. Perhaps even cut.
Chad then Clemens and the Bollinger....Send Ramsey back to Washington or whoever else wants him. He hasn't shown anything in camp or preseason.
Should be #1 Chad #2 Brooks #3 Kellen CUT---Patrick But I bet the staff cuts or trades Brooks and keeps Patrick with the hope he "comes around" just like Washington did. Thing is he has never impressed me at all, but oh wait he was a first round pick. So was Blair Thomas, Heath Shuler, Rick Mier......list goes on and on. Why do teams continue to give these guys a shot?
The only reason we trade Brooks is because we'll get more for him than Ramsey...I would rather us keep Brooks and bounce Ramsey to the curb.
Thats the dumbest thing I have ever seen. Ramsey is clearly better than Brooks. With a broken arm, Ramsey is better than Bollinger. What the hell do you see in Brooks?
I'd start Penny basically because I don't want our future franchise QB to be a tackling dummy while the new offensive line unit gels. Next season is pretty much a lost cause. Let Penny do whatever he can to show he's still got it. If he doesn't rebound, then oh well. At least Clemens will get a season (or half) to observe from the bench. By the time he comes in, hopefully the OL will be a cohesive unit.
