Vilma exits hearing early.

Here is the transcript for Vilma's hearing....

Vilma- Ladies and gentlemen, I'll be brief. The issue here is not whether we broke a few rules, or took a few liberties with a couple QBs - we did.

Vilma: But you can't hold a whole organization responsible for the behavior of a few, sick twisted individuals. For if you do, then shouldn't we blame the whole NFL system? And if the whole NFL system is guilty, then isn't this an indictment of the NFL in general? I put it to you, Goody - isn't this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do whatever you want to us, but we're not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America. Gentlemen!

Started hating Vilma the moment he signed back with Saints. He screwed over the Jets for a higher draft pick so he can go fuck himself and I hope his ban remains as is.

 

I thought the clause in the trade was based on playing time, which the Saints purposely held Vilma out on 3rd downs to lower his snap total. Not sure.

 

yes he decided to help out his current team, the one that was paying him money, and the one he was trying to win a super bowl with, as opposed to his former team. Had Vilma been traded from the Saints to the jets and done this, it never would have bothered you for a second had he done exactly what he did.

It's Tanny's fault, they should have worded the clause of the conditional pick differently than they did. but they didn't, thats not vilmas fault, or the saints for taking advantage of the loophole.

 

DUH...he did it for his current employer. But he screwed over my team in the process in an unfair way, so he can still go fuck himself. And not many teams take that risk of losing a pro bowl caliber player in FA. But Vilma knew the system there and wanted to play in the bounty system.

If Vilma was traded to Jets from Saints instead, I would have loved it, but Im sure Saints fans would have hated him.

 

That clause may have been there too. Not sure. But another clause was the Saints signing him to any deal before he reaches Free Agency. Pick would have been a 2nd rounder I believe.

 

Vilma is coming out of this looking like a clown, with his whole "the league is trying to ruin my hard earned reputation" nonsense.

 

but but but but its just so easy to hate the ex player. its so annoying to see people hate a guy because he moved on or whats even worse is when the team trades or cuts him. i mean really give me a break.

 

lol, I would have had nothing against Vilma, but when somebody screws over the Jets in an unfair way, they can go $%#@....You get the point.
