Did Kay just say it's harder to play in Boston than it is in NY because of the suffocating media? Moreover, did he just say that the Red Sox are the only sport team in town? I guess that makes the Patriots and Celtics chopped liver?

Hahaha. No I hadn't had much sleep. However, I called in sick today! Had to stay home to see if we could complete the sweep. After I posted that, I realized the coffee wasn't really working, and I would never have made it through the day, so I sent an e-mail to my boss with a lame excuse, and went back to bed.

Kay is an utter and complete moron. He just lets whatever verbal diaherria (sp?) spew out of his mouth that his tongue will allow. He is the worst broadcaster the Yankees have ever had, and may just be the worst ever. Worse than McCarver, worse than Buck, worse than anyone I can think of off the top of my head. He is a total assclown.

And thanks ARod, yet another opportunity for you to show me that maybe everyone actually is right about you. When are you going to actually pull through for us?

You know what I am starting to notice with ARod? He seems like he is actually starting to buy into his whole "I am not letting anything bother me, I know what I can do" bullshit. He grounds into DPs now, and it doesn't even look like it bothers him.

    BTW: NICE PLAY LIDDLE!!!

Lidle has actually pitched a couple decent games thus far for the Yanks. I'm sure Maddog is kicking himself now over that argument with Cashman.

Ugh, Manny injured? Red Sox fans just cannot catch a break.

Two great defensive plays by A-Rod.

No word on Manny yet. He just came out of the game with no info. That totally sucks for Boston, as it just allowed Lidle to walk Ortiz, and get out of the inning.

BTW: Very nice defensive play by ARod that inning. However, he needs to show his bat now. It's time for him to start paying dividends.

They said he was taken out for an "undisclosed reason". Man, that's an injury they can ill-afford.

Yesterday's day off defensively seems to have done some good for A-Rod. He's been pretty sharp today, making some nice catches.

But grounding out repeatedly, including the DP is still growing more unacceptable by the day.

Melky is the man. No way does Matsui come back into LF when he is ready to return. Giambi plays 1B full-time and Matsui is DH. I can't see anything else even being an option at this point.

    Melky is scary fast.

Edit: And I am talking to myself again.

Wooohooo Abreu! One of the bet moves Cashman has ever made!

Kay yet again shows he's a shithead. Hey Mike, I ARod's staunchest defender have been noticing that ARod is crapping out at the plate.

    Just STFU!!!

ARod with the meaningless single that doesn't even allow Abreu to score. No Kay, nobody is noticing ARod is playing like crap.

Hahaha, Fox News is "Fair and Balanced." Yeah, and I am a 13 year old girl just hanging out on the Jets boards to find a boyfriend.

No, I'm not, and don't bother with the jokes, I see them coming.

Let's be realistic here. This move was made because of the Yankees unlimited pockets, not any shrewd GM skills. What GM would not trade for a guy with a .450 OPS for marginal minor league prospects?

Update on the Manny situation: He left the game with a cramped hamstring and is listed day-to-day. Seems like it's not that big of a deal. Red Sox nation just let out a collective sigh of relief.
