While hardly a slap in the face I guess it is to me as it reminds how old I am getting when I can remember being a huge fan of his all through his college career and even in the NFL and now he is retiring. One of my all time favorite players in any sport, loved him in San Diego and was thrilled we got to see him for two years even if he was on his way down.

The real question is does Bill Bellichick send him a retirement gift?

It was L.T.s fault (somewhat) that we didnt beat the Steelers. 1 fucking yard, ughhhh.

He was a Charger from the beginning. No slap in the face. He spent his career there FGS!

no way at all is this a slap in the face...LT came here and gave it his all trying to win a SB ring. The guy would never retire as a Jet and i wouldnt expect him too. He was his best as a charger and should retire a charger. Im glad i had the oppertunity to watch him up close and see what a true profesional and leader should be like, reminded me a lot of my personal favorite player Curtis Martin. Good luck LT!

They did actually lol, those were the days before these goofy 'one day' contracts that are for show. I don't get the purpose of symbolically retiring for a team, what does it accomplish? Everyone remembers LT more as a Charger anyway.

What if L.T. did win a superbowl as a Jet? Does he then retire a Jet? Not!

I don't think this is a slap in the face for the Jets but he did talk a little shit on SD and the current SD players talked shit on him after he left

So I find this a little surprising

This to me is the funny part of this thread. You started this bitching like a middle school girl who's boyfriend just dumped her, then try to turn it around on the posters that rightfully call you out on your over the top crybaby bullshit.

I shared a thought and you all came down like I assassinated someone. Like I said, It's not that big a deal. If you wish to continue, than its your frustration , not mine. I've been here a while & the over reaction and knee jerk reflex to posts is amazing. I've posted maybe a handful of posts where some one was encouraging the rest approx 5 years worth has been a flame.... Dudes you must have pitiful lives in which your greatest livelihood is spewing venom.... get a grip. Since when has our culture gone so far away from agree to disagree? I'm a reasonable guy, so I stated something without much fore thought, your points are well taken, but the barbs, for those of you firing them, get fucked...

I don't care if he retires a Charger, but it was extremely classless of him to talk crap about the Jets after the season ended. He definitely went down a notch or two in my eyes after that.
