He will start at WR #2 to open the year. Kid is gonna kill it. Super pumped about this pic and he looks really good in Green & White.

Assuming Hill isn't good enough to be our 2nd WR as a rookie, I am not content with a combination of Kerley and Turner... our offense would quite honestly be the same as last years, even with the Tebow tough once in a while.

I hope that Hill makes a huge impact -- then Holmes can reach his full potential and Sanchez may actually have a good season.

I doubt that teams will put a safety high on him in the beginning of the season (and I hope they don't). Hill has such amazing speed and physical abilities that the teams no. 2 CB (assuming CB1 is over Holmes) is going to have a hard time not only keeping up with him, but also being more physical and being able to out jump/reach for balls. He will have to earn the double coverages, but I really do not think it will take him long to demand the defenses attention.

Most teams would put their number 1 on Hill and their number 2 with a safety on Holmes. The Jets are really the only team that puts their number 1 CB on the number 1 WR.

I don't follow college football at all, but the way people are talking about this kid -- what is everyone really expecting out of this kid, REALISTICALLY?

I ask this out of ignorance, not sarcasm, but he seems so overhyped to me, I lurked around the draft boards of this forum, and other Jets forums -- and I never saw his name (Maybe I missed it), but now people are so psyched out about him and I just don't know where it came from.

He was mentioned more than once on this sites draft forum leading up to the draft... He is probably the most physically gifted/talented receiver in this draft and was a steal in the mid 2nd.

He only caught something like 48 passes his college career, but that is primarily because of the system he played in. If he played for a pass-happy normal college team, he could’ve put up huge numbers... But I guess thats just speculation.

What I would realistically expect from him is a great attitude, love for the game, excellent run blocking, ability to stretch the field and produce some big chunk plays and provide help in the redzone. I would say 40 catches, 600 yards and 7 TDs are possible... Could be a little less or more. He is still raw so expectations shouldnt be sky high for his first year.

I see these debbie downers, trying to disguise themselves as "realists." When you say people need to lower their expectations, based on what? No numbers where said, and Hill's presence will be worth much more than the numbers he's able to produce. Once he's able to break free on a go route, teams have no choice but to respect his speed and athletic ability- no more sitting on routes and no more stacking the LOS. His blocking prowess will help a ton as well. People are excited of what Hill can do to our offense without the ball even in his hands, thats where this all comes from. He's also a refreshing change from the wideouts we had last season.

Someone said they expect half of Kerley's production of yesteryear. Uhm, Kerley had 300 yards, so you expect Hill to have 150 yards on 15 recepetions? Hill to average 10 yards per reception?

Someone thinks Kerley can play on the outside in an NFL offense? Erm, sorry, I don't think so. He's the perfect slot guy, leave him there.

We've got lots of weapons that we're lucky to have at wideout this up coming season, hopefully they can maximize the skill sets of each.

It looks like you got your wish, Goodell is making it mandatory that ALL players MUST wear thigh & knee pads, states it's a safety issue.

I compare Hill's situation to Torrey Smith of the Ravens. In his rookie year he put up 50-841-7 in a very limited route tree on a run first team. If Hill can come close to that, say 40-700-6, it will be a very successful first year. He will have every opportunity to contribute since his blocking will get him on the field. I honestly believe that 40-700-6 is his floor this season.
