reported by Jenny Ventras. Sounds like no hold-out. I would still like to see the Jets lock him up for another 4 years beyond these next two. 'Revis says today he's not unhappy with his contract. "I'm cool with it. I signed it 2 years ago."'
translation: too many people at TGG were calling him Mevis so he wimped out on his planned ultimate mega super holdout
His unhappiness with his contact as completely fabricated by the media from non answers. So glad Revis came out and publicly said this. Onto stuff that matters... Football.
I'm happy w/ his Belichick comments, revis sounds pissed off and that's the attitude the entire team should take. The last time they took that attitude into a game was when we beat NE in the playoffs.
I told you, this was essentially made up by Cimini and picked up by the national press. I hate this guy.
Hopefully, Revis will be here for a long long time. Dedication to the game, deserving of money, much love to #24. Hopefully, Holmes will smoke weed. Dedication to himself, deserving of poopie, is that a Pennington jersey?
He never said he wasn't going to holdout again, he's just being coy... http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2012/05/jets_darrelle_revis_mum_on_pos.html On his contract situation today, Revis said that he's not sure what he'll end up doing in regards to a holdout. He said he did not believe the Jets approached his representatives yet about a new deal. "I can't sit here and answer that question, right now I'm here getting prepared for the 2012-2013 season, right now I'm not even thinking about contract situations," he said after being asked if he would hold out. "Everybody knows the situation and they know the deal. Moving forward, whatever happens happens. I can't sit here and say I'm going to hold out or not, that's not my decision, as of right now I'm here, I'm working, trying to get ready for this season."
As long as he is playing this year I don't care. We have a much better football team when he is on the field. We are going to surprise a lot of people next year. I feel really good about where this team is going. If #24 is cool, then I'm cool too.
One day, Revis will no longer be playing for the Jets. Maybe it is when he is traded. Maybe it is when he retires. Maybe it is something else. But I plan on continuing to enjoy watching one of the best Jets ever as long as he is on the team, and enjoying doing so, however long that is. It's kind of like life - none of us knows how long we really have, so take it as it comes.
I agree with the bolded statement above, unfortunately we do not yet know what is going on with him this year. The quote that bothers me is "I can't sit here and say I'm going to hold out or not, that's not my decision" Yes Darrelle, it is your decision, your agent works for you...
