I like some of the things he had to say .... but I also realize that it was mostly political for the media (meaning you always support your team and never say too much).

He said all generic responses. Thats what people say when they aren't Rex Ryan. He also mentioned he doesn't want to give out info about his schemes. Should he have chirped the Patriots or something?

Exactly - this is what 90% of coaches sound like when being interviewed.

I'll also add that the last time Rex spoke about Tim Tebow that media had a field day saying "30% of Jets snaps are going to Tebow" based upon a Rex statement saying opposing teams will have to prepare as if it could be a possibilty. Tebow discussian touches off a discussion that just gets crazy. Sparano is smart to stay tight lipped. He might even teach Rex something. :)

Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. DuCasse is in the Pro Bowl before Rex learns how to be diplomatic.

Unfortunate that the two above are correct. But in seriousness, I'm really glad Sparano is tight lipped here. Just read the thread about the surprise that Roparti Potato (sp?) was cut, and I think man, he was just a Rex "creation". Sure he had size but the hope that he was something was all based upon Rex and HardKnocks.

Rex is misleading to some extent.

Coach em up right Tony, and we'll all chip in to buy you some new shades for the sideline!

Is there really a QB controversy? Does anybody on the planet other than Timmy and his dedicated Tebowphiles that thinks he is really a candidate to be our starting QB?
To me, he's the back up QB in the same way that Brad Smith was the back up QB. i.e. He's the QB for his special plays, but if Mark gets hurt, McElroy is our QB.

Tebow will be significantly less threatening than Glenn Foley.
