Really like this pick and the guy has some great hands and plays bigger than his listed height. Very very productive and if the Jets cut this guy he won't make it back to the practice squad. Someone will snatch him up. Could fill a Welker role for the Jets.

Agreed. I think he reminds me a lot of Wayne Chrebet, the way he's sort of fearless in traffic and adept at getting open despite not looking particularly fast on tape.

Hopefully we don't keep him around for a year only to cut him and watch him succeed with the Patsies. I don't see them paying Welker so their should be an opening.

    I like it like this
    Holmes
    Hill
    Kerley
    Schleins
    White
cut: Turner (we have enough tall, fast receivers already)

I think Schillens is the one on the bubble. He is really brittle and drops a lot of passes. White is gonna shine in training camp.

White is a much better version of Scotty Mcknight. I would be shocked if he makes the roster this year. He is probably headed for the practice squad. The Welker comparisons are ludicrous for a just drafted 7th round selection.

White has a ton of potential, but he also has 2 severely fubard knees after ACL surgeries on both of them over the last 3 years.

I never like Scotty Mcknight to me hes a waste of a roster spot. I havnt seen much of White but it should be exciting. Im sure people have asked this before, but do the jest still persue Baylon with our current receivers that we have now even if they can get him at Vet min.

Wasn't aware he has multiple ACL surgeries. I suppose he'll fight for the last WR spot.

Because of the knee surgeries I've got worries about White having a lasting impact as a WR. If he can do the following though, I'd be really happy.

1 - reliable punt receiver & he'll probably be able to fair catch a punt in hurricane. Huge plus especially after last season.
2 - In heavy receiver sets, just find soft spots in zone & sit. According to his draft profile, he's good at finding openings in zone D & all his vids are showing excellent hands.

Westy definitely pulled for this kid due to his punt returning abilities. That alone gives me good confidence about the kid.

Schilens hasn't even played a down for the Jets yet and he's already in the running for most butchered name in team history.

He says he'll be wearing #17, I wonder if a Mason-Kerley situation happens if Braylon is resigned.

    Bad karma?

I liked both our 7th round picks better than our other picks in rounds 3-6.

Just switch Hill and Schilen. #4#5 receivers HAVE to play ST's and Schilen is just too brittle....plus Hill needs to earn some cred with the team. Plus with 4.3 speed Westy will demand it.

I'd rather not risk our future #2 WR's health on special teams, that would be a bad idea. Schilens should be our #4 WR, hes a health risk and was clearly signed to be a red zone threat and across the middle receiver only, not a starter.

Chaz is on the bubble... Turner has always had an advantage because of his chemistry with Mark. That won't change now, considering he is one of only 3 WRs on the team who Mark has thrown a real pass to.

If nothing else, hopefully White's emergence will put an end to the Scotty McKnight experiment.

Yeah, I hope White sticks around. He had insane production in college, and could turn into a solid possession receiver.
