Ah yes, the wikipedia definition of truth - majority rules.

I believe wholeheartedly in democracy as a political system, but sometimes the voting public is, shall we say, insane?

I think the voting public is only as insane as their range of choices. But soon we won't have to worry about that because we'll have cables protruding from our heads and we will all think as one. Just one giant ballot.

  3. It's hard not to root for Chad. The guy is very passionate about being a Jet and his hard work/enthusiasm is obvious. But the concern over his arm strength and the ability to stay health are well documented things to monitor. I believe he will be decent for us this year but a subpar/rebuilding year will lead to his demotion to Kellen Clemens era.

I look at it kind of like matter and anti matter or bizzaro Chad vs Chad. If you don't ultimately balance out Chad and anti Chad you can pretty much kiss the world as we know it good bye.

I mean, I'm not going to vote for either because I am pro what's best for our team and anti what's worst.

Pennington will most likely not be healthy for the full season and probably set back our team another year in terms of finding it's answer at QB by taking away time from Clemens, I guess.

Either way, am I optimistic about him, absolutely not.

Pro-Chad. The guy has had enough flashes of brilliance that it gives us fans a reason to excuse the fact that he's too fragile. Chad is the embodiment of the Jets organization: the constant underdog. We all want him to be the quarterback he's shown he can be on a consistent long-term basis, but realistically, it's extremely difficult to believe that will happen.

i think not one person here is Anti-Chad. But everyone here, no matter how much we love the guy, Knows he never lived up to his full potential and doesn't give us the best chance to get deep into the playoffs.

How can you argue with a range of Pro to anti? Looks like infinity to me but I will defer to Stat on this one.

I'm pro-Chad. I personally met his mom and dad and they are wonderful people. Whats wrong with someone who has great leadership and is the best quarterback on the team right now? In 37 starts in his career, the boy has won 21. Not a bad stat right there. He is a team player and is just happy on playing the game of football.

Mangini better play Chad alot in the final Preseason game after tonights miss out. He needs all the work he can get and can't afford to miss any time.

I have been very critical of Chad in the past, but I've put that behind me now. I want to see him succeed because he deserves it at this point with all the hard work he's put in, and the tremendous heart and resolve he's shown.

When healthy, he gives us our best shot with his experience and leadership qualities. If he continues to get stronger with more confidence, he'll move quicker in the pocket and get rid of the ball faster. If on the other hand, he gets hurt again, I think he'll realize he's done, and the switch to Ramsey or Clemens will move us into the future. Let him try to finish what he's started, we owe him that much. The chips will fall where they may!

I'm very pro Chad but to be perfectly honest I have no faith in him to stay healthy or, by extension, to win games at this point in his career.

Still, like almost every Jets fan I'm rooting for him (though I suspect that many Jets fans share my fears as well.)

tonight, the team looked good and the abscence of the egg was ironic.

defenses can't load up the box against clemmins, bolly, or even brad smith.
those guys can move , throw deep, throw the out patterns, and throw on the run. instead of forcing the other talent to dumb down and run the egg-limited offense, the regime should play to their strengths. i'd roate the egg to k.c. for a draft pick. tonite against the skins or next week against the giants defense,
the result would be scrambled egg. if he returns to play before the regular season, i'll be surprised. :breakdance:

The QB's who played tonight threw exactly one pass over 10 yards. Get over your hatred of Chad. It's infantile.
