Hill and Thomas played in the same offense and have a familiarity to the same offense

Tebow was a fellow 1st rounder with Thomas when McDaniels envisioned everything and the two guys flourished together with one another

The pick is a signal towards the keys to the car going to Tebow but Hill can be utilized by Mark Sanchez.

I hope so man but I am not getting that impression.....I am a big Sanchez fan as some know but I really do think that Tebow is coming in unless Sanchez gets steadily better in 2012.

There is no signal, the Jets picked the best available receiver to fill a need. It is by chance he played in a system that Tebow excelled in. Everyone knows Sanchez is the better QB, and Hill's potential will be be fulfilled with Sanchez throwing him passes not lead blocking for Tebow.

What were D. Thomas stats monster stats like?
32 catches for 551 yards... MONSTER???
    OR you would rather prefer
53 catches for 904 yards that Braylon Edwards put up with Sanchez and the ground and pound JETS?

I think S. Hill pick Says more abt Braylon than Sanchez or Tebow. I think Hill is similar to Edwards and can have success with Sanchez... Also I believe D. Thomas was not a big fan of Tebow

If this pick was for anyone it was for Holmes. The deep speed spreads the coverage and allows Holmes to be more of a threat, no more deep safety rolled to his side on every 3rd and long.(We had alot of those) Even if the kid isn't polished, how many times last year did Flacco just chuck it up to that young speed receiver out for a late TD. Sanchez throws a good deep ball and never used it once last year.

People need to realize that Tebow stats last season weren't at all indicative of what he is capable of. Coach Fox makes all his QBs look terrible.. it's his system.. They moved his only 2 decent receivers before he was made starter. too.

Plus, Tebow also didn't have a good defense generating turnovers. People forget guys like Sanchez are propped up by their D giving them more scoring opportunities. Tebow didn't have that last season... his D was awful and propped up by the run game he provided. This is why Rex wanted Tebow.

SANCHEZ CALLED HIM SO YOU TEBOW LOVERS WHO THINK HE IS GOING TO START WEEK 1 BLOW ME!!

    http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/jets/post/_/id/12158/they-love-hill-at-radio-city

NEW YORK -- One thing Stephen Hill knows how to do? Give the crowd what they want.

The Jets' second-round pick hit the stage at Radio City Music Hall after his name was called, shook hands with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and posed for photos with a new Jets cap. Then, he produced a megawatt smile and addressed the fans in the balcony.

"J-E-T-S! Jets! Jets! Jets!" Hill yelled.

And with that, the Georgia Tech wide receiver had a new fan base.

"It was just really a happy moment," Hill said.

He said that the Jets let him know they were "really, really, really" interested in him. And right after his name was called he got a call from his new quarterback Mark Sanchez to welcome him to the team.

"I felt home," Hill said of his visit to New York three weeks ago.

He even deftly deflected a question about whether he'd prefer to play with Sanchez or backup Tim Tebow, saying, "It's going to be great playing with both of them."

Hill also said he has looked up to Jets receiver Santonio Holmes "since I've been a kid" and was looking forward to learning from him.

Hill said he got to know Jets coach Rex Ryan by watching him on "Hard Knocks" -- which may have been the greatest recruiting vehicle for the franchise in recent history -- and Hill already said he was looking for the Super Bowl.

"Coach Rex Ryan hasn't even said anything about the Super Bowl to me, but I know his philosophy," Hill said.

The fickle Jets fans at the 2012 NFL draft cheered the pick, and Dave Sattinger of Port Washington, N.Y., said that, with Plaxico Burress out the door, the Jets needed someone like the 6-foot-4, 215-pound Hill.

"They needed someone with size who could draw the double team and stretch the field," Sattinger said.

His friend Chris Carluccio of Edgewater, N.J., would have preferred to see the Jets take an offensive lineman, but was happy enough with Hill.

ESPN draft expert Mel Kiper had Hill listed at the No. 4 wide receiver in the draft, and projected him to go late in the first round or early in the second. The Jets traded up to the 43rd pick, giving Seattle their second-, fifth- and seventh-round picks.

    ^^Broncos D was horrible???^^
Tebow carried the team sounds like a Tbow fan and not a JET fan...
Tbow is a good gimmick player, and Sanchez is a better and more polished Qb...

Yeah he helps any QB, ridiculous to say this is specifcally for Tebow. I could spin this saying well this replaces Braylon who Sanchez loved so this is a Sanchez pick. Or I could say my cousin went to GT so this was clearly a pick for my cousin to get a GT player...

Please, Tebow's defense let up under 17 points per games during the winning streak. They also forced fumbles two separate times in overtime to lead directly to the game winning FG and they had a pick 6 against the Jets to even keep that game close. The defense was inconsistent just like Tebow.

Will you stop with the "Tebow must be favored over Sanchez" nonsense. That's obviously false. We want a strong running game, and WRs that can BLOCK. This will undoubted HELP Sanchez and the team as a whole. Silly drama queens.

Like OMG totally! This means Tebow's starting over Sanchez, cuz he like totally better and stuff! OMG OMG LOL!

Give it rest. It's not Sanchez vs Tebow. It's Sanchez + Tebow. Hopefully all these silly Tebowners will realize this and start actually rooting for the Jets team instead of just one player.

The guy is a Braylon Edwards clone. Excellent blocking, great ups, adjusts well and has great straight-line speed. Which means that unless Rex Ryan knew 3 years ago that he was going to get Tebow for a bag of sweatsocks from Denver, the Tebow shit is a pile of...

    ... well, shit.

This pick has Sanchez all over it, any chance of tebow ever having a shot at starting Qb has just been shot down because this is a sanchez reciever.

    suck on that bithces.

I counted 2 forum members saying pro Tebow stuff on this thread and 19 members saying anti Tebow stuff, reasonable stuff or neutral stuff .

Exactly where are all these " teboners" " Tebots" " Tebow freaks" etc? Its 2 cats stating an opinion ( no matter how delusional you all think it is it's just an opinion ) . The Tebow over reactions are really something .

One of those Tebow fans started this ridiculous thread that make absolutely 0 sense. Then add the title of the thread and past ridiculous threads like one implying that Bubba Watson won a golf tournament because he is associated to Tebow and it feels and seems like Tebow fans are flooding the boards

The Tebow fan you speak of has been part of this board since 2006 , FIVE years longer than you.

He is a Jets fan with an opinion .
