from rotoworld.com I realize he'd be a stopgap solution at best, but he did average 4.0 yards a carry last year. It also looks like he'd be a heck of a lot cheaper than a Kevan Barlow or T.J. Duckett.
You are right, and I wouldn't trade for him. However, if he was to be cut as the story suggested, I'd rather sign Smith as a FA than trade anything for the names that have been mentioned.
I didn't think much of Antowain Freaking Smith when the Pats won a Super Bowl with him. Now he's being passed on for Wali Lundy and Chris Taylor? Ummm, can we still trade for Lee Suggs? Or somebody?
if he is cut i would definently do this(or even for a 6th or 7th) i thought of his name the other day and actually mentioned it in the stecker thread thinking he was in NO until i looked him up, interesting to see him finally come up he played decent in new orleans last year after deuce went down adds the veteran presence at rb we need and it is not like we will get an everydown guy at this point
D'Brickashaw and Laveranues blocking for Antowain would certainly land us a spot in the NFL Spelling Bee Finals.
naw. again, I say play what we got. What we could pick up is no better than what we got and I'd hate to lose the draft picks.
