    makes logical sense to me.

And for the amount you guys bitch he disappears,

not half bad for somebody who 'sucks' and is playing with 'the worst starter in the NFL' as his QB.

Ummmm how bout we get him the fuck outta here?

I am not sure he makes any sense whatsoever on this team.

Keller can be great but he's almost as inconsistent as Mark. Hopefully we will build the OL in the draft and Mark and Keller can truly connect throughout this next season. That also means that we'll probably need to pay Keller much more next year, but I'm okay with that if he's successful.

I'm not a huge Keller fan, because he makes too many boneheaded plays and his blocking leaves a lot to be desired, but there's no question that he's a playmaker.

If he's reasonable with his demands then I'm fine with locking him up.

We sure have a lot of TE's now.. Cumberland, Keller, New Aussie Guy, Baker.. Do we have enough for the GnP? Out of these 4 guys, one of them has to know how to run block.

Interesting point. We'll probably see Ducasse sub in as a 2nd TE again during running situations this year. None of these guys are pure "blocking" TEs

Weren't we a "ground n pound" team in 09 and 10? He was there for that.

Ben Hartsock can't have made that much of a difference. Damien Woody on the other hand....

I'm actually a Keller fan and if this helps us ameliorate cap issues in 2013 then I'm 100% for it.

Woody was the biggest loss, but Hartsock was way better than Mulligan. Moore didn't run block as well coming off surgery either and losing Edwards was another downgrade. Anthony Becht should be the next TE we sign.

Now there was a guy who could make you scream at the tv. Or we could see if Kyle Brady will come out of retirement. He was another fan favorite.

He may be good catching but his blocking licks taint

  16. Any fan that has attended Training camp knows how good Keller is. Before Favre's arrival in 08, he was the best player on the Jets offense..without question. By the way, he was still a rookie.

There us no way we let Keller hit the open market. He put up 800 yards in an offense that couldn't pass. he is a potential 1k yard TE. U don't find them on the open market. Call me nuts, but he'll probably get $6 mil per year.

Damn I opened this thread ready to shit on Keller but these stats do not lie.

Hopefully we can lock him up for the lowlow before his career takes off (hehehe pun intended.)

I like it..he's solid. Not the worst but not the best. Good to get Sanchez his main target locked up.

If he gets 6M a year, then Tannys a fucking idiot.

Hes a 1 dimensional TE on a ground and pound team, incapable of blocking.

Im just glad were gonna resign him before Gronk/Hernandez get their contracts and probably blow up TE salaries.

I wouldnt go over 5 years 22-24 million with maybe half that guaranteed.

TE is one of the easiest positions to address in the draft, and finding a TE who can block better than DK is as easy as finding a QB who can throw better than Tebow
