If Gaborik & Richards get that chemistry flowing through the playoffs then watch out...

to all of our surprises, the Rangers are right this year, this has made the winter (not that there really is a winter out here) so much better since i find basketball, both pro and college just too painful to watch anymore.
from the 70's through about the great knicks -bulls boxing matches of the 90's
was the golden age of hoops for me. now it just blows.

    I'd say 90% it's photoshop.

Text is too clean, doesn't blend, plus they would have had to go through the awkward process of having that professionally printed!

Flyers have a 3 goal lead on the Pens with 4 minutes left.
So close to locking this thing up.

Even taking tonight's game to overtime clinches the Eastern Conference.

    Yeee-haw!

Down 2-1 after 2. Hope Girardi picks it up vs. Bruin forechecking in the 3rd.

Shame they couldn't slam the door last night and be done with it, but the Rangers came hard in the third, 19-3 in SOG I believe. Occasionally the Rangers have to get burned the way they burn a lot of other teams.

Well that sucked. Where has Stepan been the past month or so? Kid has really hit a wall, that whiff on the open net in the third was unforgivable. A lot of fws MIA in the offense dep't. What happened to Dubinsky's chip on his shoulder that he was going to carry into the playoffs?

It's amazing how one loss in five games against a team that routinely plays the Rangers in hard-fought, low-scoring games garners the attention of a blowout loss to a non-playoff team. A monster shot from the point and a forced turnover on a power play were the two goals. When you outshoot a team by 16 shots in the third, I don't know how you could complain. Thomas was on his game. Stepan probably should have buried the shot with an open net but what are you gonna do. Might as well cue the discussion now, "How are we gonna score in the playoffs?!?!?1"

Its a tough loss, but we won that regular season series 3-1...As hard as they looked in the third, they were so flat in the second. I hope they play with that intensity in the playoffs

    Do you rest Lundqvist now?

I don't think you can rest him until at least the number one seed is locked up. But even after that, the playoffs don't start until the 11th. Although his consecutive starts have a lot more to do with getting the top seed than Torts wants to admit, he's not lying about getting Hank into a rhythym for the playoffs, and more than three or four days off before they start is risking a rusty goaltender to open the playoffs.
