If we could somehow trade no picks from 2012 (wishful thinking) and still acquire Stewart, we'd be able to draft an OLB, RT, and FS the first three rounds. I'm salivating.

That won't happen even if Jets do not acquire Stewart. Fat chance.

    Carolina shopping Johnathan Stewart...Giants out.

Giants deal fell threw, if the Jets want to succeed with Tebow...and have any more pics to spare...GET THIS MAN!

100% trained elite RB to play in the spread offense.

He's the guy playing WWE with Saints' Vilma buying Cam Newton an eternity to throw that ball. Can help the Oline out when Tebow's in there just like he did in Carolina.

Him and Tebow = match made in heaven. He's 10th in the NFL in PASSING yards after catch among both receivers and running backs. Third among running backs behind Daren Sproles and Arian Foster despite having to split his carries with Deangelo Williams. He can catch and go like crazy. If the Panthers were not locked in DW's contract they wouldn't be looking to trade Stewart. He's the better of the two RB's.

It honestly makes 0 sense for the Jets not to get this guy if they are serious about Tebow and using both quarterbacks. He's just as effective in a conventional offense, can run out of the I formations, grinding and pounding up the middle, as he is in the spread offense, blocking, catching and taking off.

He's right though. A RB like Stewart makes a lot more sense than Greene when you are running the option

Gotta include the starters' name to make it accurate, otherwise its midseason hypothetical. One turd apoils the whole punch bowl.

Even if Tebow's not starting Stewart is still a great back to have. Then when Tebow is in the game which is not hypothetical he will have a RB to run the option with him instead of stone hands Greene.

This thread is now moot. The Panthers have traded Goodson to the Raiders.

Why it will probably be less then that seeing as how Goodson hasn't done anything in the NFL and really isn't all that good.

Just saying; it's a shot at the fact that, no matter how much Goodson sucks, he plays a position of need (from the Jets' perspective) and is thereby preferable instead of wasting a fourth rounder on a perma-backup. He's a fumbling machine so I doubt the Raiders gave up much.
