I keep hearing and reading about the potential Tebow chants if Sanchez struggles which I don't believe that for one bit. NY fans are smarter than that; we are not going to be demanding the coaching staff to replace a QB who completes 56% of his passes with one that completes 46%. That said; what happens if Sanchez gets hurt? Are we going to run the Wishbone? The coaching is going to have a whole different scheme for Tebow as we won't be able to run the same things.
did you watch the Broncos last year, did you see them beat these Jets? did you see them go to the playoffs while the Jets were cleaning out their lockers? yeah, shitter, yeah thats it......
You have way too much faith in NY fans and the media if you dont think they will start chanting for Tebow the second something goes wrong on offense. The majority of fans dont understand why Tebow is here and are going to do exactly what fans in Denver did... add in the fact that there’s going to be a shit ton off Tebow fans hopping on board and its inevitable.
Then we're fucked. Or Teblow will benefit yet again from a solid D and run game, make some plays at the end of some wins, get jerked off by the media, and then get assraped by the Patriots as is tradition.
I like Tim, he's an easy guy to root for, but this isn't a great argument. Denver's defense played phenomenally, Matt Prater was hitting multiple 52+ yarders, Marion Barber is garbage, and the Jets should have had that game won by the 3rd quarter. Winning is winning, but you can't argue Tebow was primarily responsible.
Sounds about right. Come to think of it, Nacho seems to play fairly decently against the pay toliets. I'm sure he'll do well with whatever team he ends up on. (Not that I want him to go.)
Will Sanchez be playing for every opponent and throwing pick 6s? Will Tebow be bringing the Denver defense and altitude with him? As those aforementioned items had more to do with them winning than Tebow.
does T2 play on D? I saw Tebow take the Broncos to a 16-0 lead in the first quarter, then the defense caved to Brady the playoff game was a complete disaster - that I can agree on with you
if sanchez gets injured.. tebow goes in and rex's dream offense comes alive. 5-10 pass attempts and we runnnnnnnnn. and i'd still feel better about this than watching stanton.
I would be terrified if Sanchez gets injured just because Tebow isn't a traditional QB. The whole system would need to be changed up to maximize his talents. And NE handled him easily twice, so if we needed to play them with Tebow that would be rough. Also did Tebow hold teams to under 15 points in most of his wins? Did Tebow kick those 50+ plus yard field goals? That team was much more than Tebow. It was the defense and special teams holding down the fort for 3 quarters and half and Tebow putting one late drive together.
yes and I 100% agree with everything you have written there but when Orton was QB1 that same shit didn't happen, so what changed?
Let's not forget that without Sanchez's Pick 6 Tebow doesn't get a chance to win that game. They barely beat a Steelers team missing Ryan Clark and starting C or the fact that Big Ben could barely move. He is a sitting duck out there with that bad ankle. Or that they benefited from a weak division to win the division at 8-8
Tebow was note solely responsible but definitely a piece of a 3 piece puzzle (and the Denver defense was ranked 20th last year or 19th , the defense kept them in 4 games, 4 other wins were higher scoring, like Vikings, Raiders, Pittsburgh etc Tebow played well and scored in those games etc) Its been well documented Broncos were on a 7-24 run before the one player change 2-8 2009 (last 10 games of season) 4-12 2010 1-4 2011 (first 5 games of season ) 7-4 2011 Tebow in as QB Playoff win +1 8-5 finish (more wins than the previous years combined)
