Agreed. Unless Ingram is there (unlikely). I know it's a fairly deep WR class but I don't know if a lot of people realize how good Floyd is... guys that will be available in the 2nd are maybe good prospects with upside, but I'd rather a guy who can come in and be a stud now.
sanuuuuuuuuuuuuu and idk what the front office has against braylon but he and sanchez have that deep ball connection. You think theyd like to put their "franchise quarterback" in the best position to succeed. But then again this is the jets we're talking about.
our FO doesn't know how to build a team because this team doesn't have a true identity. this team doesnt have the proper tools to be a pound n ground team or neither a pass attack team so much money on defense and our defense rarely score points.
I think it probably has something to do with a dwi a stabbing at a club crashing his car and then wanting number 1 money after a good season. Oh yeah and all of that happening in a little more then 1 season. Oh yeah now ad to that hes not even fully healthy. Sounds like a good pass on him to me.
What WR in round 2 will the Jets have a good chance of getting? If they decide to take a WR in round 2
If Nick Toon is still available in the middle rounds (3,4,5) I think we should take him he's big and relatively fast for his size 4.5 40 he could be not our two but maybe a 3 or 4 if we don't get any other wide receivers in FA.
we already have a 3-4-5wr.really need a #2 i would love this, however you are going to be crucified for suggesting a trade up.that is curse word around here
I love your thinking, but it would be unlike the Jets to do something logical. The only problem I have with that is that Floyd won't be there at 16......
Sad but true. And yeah, unfortunately Floyd will probably be gone unless he gets into a fight or something between now and the draft.
wasn't green a top 5 pick last year? i don't believe the jets are picking that high, so getting a player of greens caliber is like hitting the lottery.
I think it has more to do with him wanting number 1 money after a good season AND the offseason being shortened due to the lockout AND Tanny wasting his time waiting for Aso to sign with the Eagles. Braylon's not the first NFL player with a DWI and won't be the last. And the club-stabbing thing did not involve him even though he was present. But the main point will ALWAYS be about MONEY, Period. Many other NFL players have had conduct issues(some worse than BE) and yet their own teams owners and managers still sign them to deals. It all comes down to dollars and cents. Add to that : Jets are most likely waiting for him to get healthy enough to bring him in for a physical after FA is just about over(no one is really interested at this point). I think THAT'S what it sounds like. 'Cause let's face it : Without Braylon, it will sound like a good INT by the opposing team instead.
This team is in desperate need of a #1 receiver, not a #2. We have a #2 receiver, his name is Santonio Holmes.
You really want the Jets to sign 2 split end receivers in FA and then draft another in the first round?
