Stanton seems more like a 3rd stringer than a backup, but hopefully we will not have to see him on the field much. Regardless, I'm sure he is an upgrade over Brunnell.
I loved Stanton in college. He's a backup. He's not terrible. He's a good athlete for the position with a good arm. It all sort of fell apart for him at the end of his collegiate career and then he walked into a bad organization. He was not terrible in 2010. He's certainly an improvement over old man Brunell. -X-
When you have a starting quarterback going into the season there is usually no qb "compatition". I understand Dolphins fans probably have forgotten what that's like though. It's been since the turn of the century or so?
There are many who would differ with your opinion of starting QB. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/fp/flashPollResultsState?sportIndex=nfl&pollId=135437
It's really not a matter of opinion. Sanchez hasn't been involved in a QB competition since his rookie year when he won the starting job. Ever since then he's been the starter going into the season with no QB competition. Since then the Jets have won 4 playoff games which is 4 times as many as the Fins have this century. Fact: Sanchez is a starting NFL QB and has been since his rookie year. Fact: The Dolphins suck.

Actually that was announced early this morning..their interest in Tebow would obviously not be as quarterback. The problem is that Tebow isn't ready to admit he needs to change position to stay in the NFL.
ESPN reporting as of 5:05est (per Schefter) that the JETS, Packers, Dolphins and Jags have been in discussions for a Tebow trade. WTF Jets???
