I think Pool provided good depth for us. He wasnt physcial enough for me but he did play well at times. I remember when we brought him in Rob Ryan gave Rex his seal of approval so not surprised to see him go there.
Other than the fact that he was our best coverage safety and we're clearly lacking with safeties that can cover, this is good news.
His pick of Big Ben in the AFCE champ game and the sideline catch off Moss's finger tips. That's about it. Sadly with his loss we now have negative depth at safety.
Pool actually had all the physical ability to be a good safety, but he gets to back up Leonard and Smith. He was the best cover safety we had, yet we are keeping smith, and Leonard. Last time I checked we can't cover right ends so maybe we should have kept him. Esp since we don't know how Leonard will recover, and we know how fast Smith is.
He was here and we couldn't cover tight ends. No great loss. The Jets were either going to find a good cover safety this off-season or have the same problem next year again anyway. Now the odds are better the problem goes away since one guy who was here when we had it is gone and we need to get somebody else.
Good! Best news all day. Did anybody see pool in that giants game? He got BITCHED at that goal line stand. Absolutely weak and pathetic.
Our best safety goes to the Cowboys - that isn't really a complement though. No great loss but I'll be mighty fucked off if he's replaced by the similarly mediocre Merriweather.
Brodney is the Ryan's bitch. Keeps getting passed back and forth. Not upset about this, and good luck to him. He gave us effort, no issues.
He gave us more effort than almost anyone on defense. He may not have had the best numbers, but I honestly think he was one of our best defensive players down the stretch, no homer.
