Chad Henne, but that big far head has passed.

Need a veteran to push my boy. A second year player with like no play time isnt going to do anything for this team.

McElroy has but a few preseason games against 3rd stringers under his belt. I vote Kerley. We can just run the wildcat if Sanchez goes down.

Ideally I would like Sanchez to be the backup QB.

But with Henne, Campbell and Orton gone Garrard might be a viable affordable option. He sounds like a better option to me than Drew Stanton. But the guy I would like to get is Shaun Hill. If Sanchez falters again he could step in and give us upgrade at the QB position. But I imagine the Lions want him back and I doubt we would be willing to overpay to entice him away.

You want to bench one of the most successful QB's the team you root for has ever had? Great plan!

I'd take Garrard at this point. He had no weapons in Jax but still produced before they cut him. Drew Stanton has had minimal playing time and put up numbers with the best WR in the league, which may make him look better than he is.

given the current cap room we have to deal with, mcelroy is the ideal backup. if we bring in an outside "veteran" then we will pay out the ass for someone to sit behind sanchez. Tanny didn't give sanchez a contract extension to set up for a future QB, sanchez is the QB for now, and given mcelroy's college resume, i'm confident that he's the man for the job.

I even have a Jersey with my own last name on it , so no expense on that end either. I'm a team player and the key to fixing the locker room. The sooner it is realized the better.

Sign me, I'm a beast!! (Completely false)

Just what is with this infatuation with backup QBs? Did Peyton need one to light up some fire under his ass? Or Brady? Or let's look at some other places - how about Tony Romo, or Matthew Stafford or even Josh Freeman? How about Joe Flacco?

Just what the fuck is up with you people? Straighten up the OL, and get a viable downfield threat first - and THEN see if Jets still need some backup to compete for the starting QB job. Sheesh!
