Funny-on one hand you are agreeing with the underlying theme of this thread which is no conclusions about this team can really be made after just one pre-season game and on the other you've already determined that the O-line improved from last year.
If half the OL isn't on injured reserve at this point, they are automatically improved over last year. :up:
JUst back from a mini holiday & saw this which really made me chuckle. Ha by the time we are ready to make a SB run IMHO not before 2010 or later most of the 06 roster players will be history so why is anyone even worry if CP is still throwing nerf balls, If DeW cannot play NT, if Adrain Jones cannot play his normal position @ RT so on & so forth since by the time we are powerful enough to compete with the really big boys they will all be after thoughts & you all will be rooting for completely different players most who are not even on the team yet. Now for those Herm lovers out there the reality of how really/truly stinko he was is finally beginning to be hammered home. Y'all should be firing missles not at each other but at Woody for hiring such clowns as Herm & Badway who put us in this fix. .
I agree. I expect 6 wins, which means 4 or 5 wins won't be that disappointing and anything more than 6 means the team was competitive.
What does not make sense? Ask yourself some questions. Will CP be our QB in 2010 MHO is NO. Will Barrett/Barton be NYJs in 2010 again MHO is NO. Will DeW/Ellis & Kimo be NYJs in 2010 again MHO is NO. ..but where did 2010 come from? You pull some year out of your a$$ and now it's set in stone. Maybe they draft some phenom in 07 and win it all in 08. Miami drafted Marino late in the first round and went to the SB his second year. In that scenario, some players on the team this year could very well still be around.

Believe what U want IMHO the EARLIEST we will have the tools to make a run is 2010 since viturally our ENTIRE roster has to be renovated
Your opinion is that Vilma is, at best, a mediocre player. Therefore, your opinion of what "tools" the Jets need to make a SB run has been rendered useless (although many had made that decision many, many moons ago.)
Outside of the 06 class name me players U think will be around in 2010. Maybe you should do a very, very, very careful evulation of the 06 roster before spouting off like old faithful you may then look smarter then you are at least IMHO
You will see if you R still here in 2010 that at the best JV will be a backup or released. Just like I was correct about Herm while you were spreading MISINFORMATION about him. What makes U so perfect about your HO?
I doubt a current top 10 LB in the NFL will be a backup, or released, in 4 years when he's still in his prime. Although I don't even know why that date matters, thinking that any team, regardless of what you perceive its talent to be, won't be able to compete for 4 years in this day and age is ludacris.
