I don't expect a completely different Rex and I don't want one. I'm sure he'll tweak some things as he gains experience as a HC but he has to be who he is.
It was just what the franchise and Rex needed, No doubt in my mind Rex will be a better Head coach for this years shit. Guy had it too easy coming in and being successful from the start. This season showed Rex and Tanny just because you did ok for two years does not mean you can take your foot of the gas, and as coach and gm they also have to keep graftin their ass's off and not become in complacent. Rex will have took a long look at the man in the mirror and learnt a lot about himself as a coach, he just needs to pull his finger out of his shit box stop spewing utter dog shit and crack on. So thanks giants for giving this team and front office a hot slice of humble pie and some perspective.
It might have been for the better, im not asking for a dynasty. Just 1 ring, The Giants can win 30 more rings, as long as I can see the Jets win 1 ill be happy.
I agree. He's changed the culture and won a lot of games here. Not a lot, a few things. We had some bad luck and bad chemistry this year, it doesn't mean he has to reinvent himself. He's only been a coach three seasons and the first two were real good, set the bar high. Sometimes you learn more about yourself and your team through adversity, if there's a positive to take from 8-8 that's it. There are no positives from the Giants and Pats playing in the Super Bowl, had it been the Ravens and 49ers our situation would be no different. I don't think they got complacent. They gambled on a few guys and the team fell apart at the end for a variety of reasons. We weren't 4-12, we controlled our own playoff destiny going into Week 16.
we say that now but when they win we'll want more but i'm w/. Just get me one for now, I just want to see a SB.
Very true we did control our own destiny but that said we needed a lot to go our way weeks 15&16, I still think they where in complacent and if Tanny could go back and keep the likes of Ellis,Cotch,Smith,Edwards etc instead of throwing the dollar bills all over Holmes while he rolled in it like a pig in shit drinking champagne he would. Locker room problems did not surprise me with the leaders and true jets they let walk to keep Holmes and cro, anyway that's behind us and the point is next season we will be stronger from the lessons learnt this year.
Cro didnt hurt this team. Holmes did but Sanchez may be part to blame as well. Too many fans are giving him a free pass, im not.
Are you kidding me? The Swiss -cheese defense and the cant score offense needs alot of tweaking otherwise get used to 8-8. Reminder we dont play in the NFC East.
To be honest i sit on the fence with Sanchez i see some positives and obvious glaring problems, my issue is not his mechanics or his attitude or commitment, it's this staring down receivers and i don't know if he has a great football mind like being able to truly read defences and adapt like an elite QB can some decisions he makes are truly mind blowing. Like i said i sit on the fence and would like to see him with a consistently good back, good protection and a deep threat. Fact is this Sanchez debate will go on for ever some love him some hate him i personally have no preference.
