gotta be ramsey. We have a shot at the superbowl this year, and you can't throw a rookie in there. I would understand if we were rebuilding, but not when we've got a shot to win it all this year.
I'd let the rookie go at it. That's why he's here. Bollinger would be the last person who should take over.
I?m 100% for Chad finishing out his miserable career with a 4 ? 12 season and winning us a good running back. It would be the best thing Chad ever won for us and I would appreciate him forever.
my first inclination would be to say Clemens, but it would probably be in his best interest to sit behind someone (bolly or ramsey) and learn while our other qb gets destroyed behind a very good, but extremely young o-line. Next year will be Clemens year. No sense of putting him in a lose-lose situation. I am not a darksider, but realisticly we are not going anywhere this year. Let's be honest. It's going to take a year (at least) to learn two new entire systems (offense and defense) and we don't even have the proper people to run the systems successfully (i.e., D-Rob at Nose Tackle)
anyone who piked Bollinger or Smith must not be a Jets fan. if Brooks is the QB again this year we might as well play in the arena league.
Ramsey. He's still got a lot of potential to be a good NFL QB but at the same time his career won't be ruined by a terrible start to this season with a bad Jets team like Clemens' could. Even worse, by starting the rookie for the purpose of developing him, you'd be signaling to the rest of the team that the season is over. We can't afford that early on in the season. Start Ramsey and if he's inneffective move to Clemens once the rest of the team has gelled a little bit and knows what it's doing.
Brooks Bollinger 20&out, azjet, bigalxc, Cakes, Kris 15, mr nyjet, MyFavoriteMartian28, nyjetsrule, twombles_62, ukjetsfan, Wolfe Tone Brad Smith MeanGreen80, MParty7441, The U, theUandtheJETS Okay, these people are not Jets fans. 2nd time today someone claimed I wasn't a Jets fan. (Other time was because I said the Saints should have drafted Reggie Bush.) I'll have to use the Erik McMillan avatar once again.
Chads OK For those Chad haters (????) bad news for you , Chad is OK. Taken from NYJets.com......... http://www.newyorkjets.com/news/articles/show_article?article_id=831&short_name=news
"Okay, these people are not Jets fans." not exactly true.. one of them is even called uk"jetsfan" I think that guy must get the benefit of the doubt.
how can anyone pick Brooks? Did you not see Clemens play? Looked prett good? how did Brooks do? oh wait he didn't play because the coaching staff has no faith in him.
You're not being fair to Bollinger. He played behind a useless offensive line last year, he was handicapped for part of his run with a simplistic offense and he was playing with an injured CMart for a good part of the season too.
I would like to see Kellen sit on the sidelines for 8-12 games and then let him come in. Therefore Ramsey should be the choice.
Do you recall the hit that Chad took? That's just the beginning. The O-line is still in transition, they wil need time to improve. Clemens has the most upside right now, I wouldn't want to see him back there early in the season. Throw one of the other guys to the wolves. And like I said, Bollinger can scramble a bit, so he at least stands a chance. This is also the main reason why I doubt Chad makes it through the whole season. It took less than 2 quarters into the '06 campaign for the next "scare" to arise. How much longer will this go on before it's Strike Three?
