I didn't have a big problem with it, kind of sticks it to New England a bit. Plus it's unrealistic to think the owner hates the Giants like the fans do. For one thing they're his business partners to some degree and it's not like he wouldn't have bought the Giants had they been available and not the Jets.
With this latest Highway Hunter development, you might want to consider bringing either guy in as Director of Player Personnel and just let Tanny fck up the contracts going forward.
That is so... utterly pathetic. This reminds me of when the Jets put out an all-points bulletin that the 'Jets would do whatever it took to hire Bill Cowher as the next head coach of the New York Jets.' Isn't Gary Vaynerchuk a member of the Jets PR staff now? This level of gayness reeks of Vaynerchuk.
meh....I don't give a shit one way or the other.....Let Woody do his pandering. I just want Rex to do actual COACHING next season...
Very classy move and I hope this puts an end to this silly war of words fueled by the media, thrown gasoline on by Rex and tweaking many Giants. Woody did this in 2007 too.
Some major intercompany ass-kissing going on here. I guess Woody believed Justin Tuck when he said, "You know whose house this is!" The Jets appear ready to live up to their role as the "other team" that plays at MetLife Stadium. Some things just never change.
what the hell was he thinking with bringing hunter back at that salary? are you really sure he should even handle contracts? unless they do bring in a new guy to handle player personnel, i'm back to the darkside as far as the outlook is concerned. sooner or later, both the bills and miami are going to get ahead of us . years of better draft position and owner in miami who's looking to spend money are not good for us getting better talent . heck, two wins in the postseason would have gotten us to the super bowl in 09 and 10 if only we had won the division / shot at 1 or2 seed.
I just don't see how this makes sense. Sure, the Jets and Giants share New York and MetLife. But they are still two separate teams in the NFL. They compete against each other in the same league. Why in the world would any team congratulate another team for doing something that they failed to do? Very classy move, but I just can't comprehend it.
Sounds like what you would do if you were trying to woo the brother of the superbowl MVP to your team.
That's retarded. Your QB is still young. Why go for someone else when you should be building around him
giants players/fans trash the jets after they win and the jets congratulate them... We seriosuly need Donald trump to buy the jets and just bully all other organizations - he must be tired of supporting the bills, make your move donald
Giants' Coach doesn't trash talk to the JETS all week long prior to the game and then get whooped. That's the difference. Wanna talk trash?Alright but don't whine when you cant cash the check your mouth wrote off
Didn't mind Woody making a statement a couple of days ago. However, the ad was too much. It's pathetic and reeks of an attention-seeking organization trying to stay relevant. I'm embarrassed.
