Reading that Marcus Mcneill will be cut by the chargers and not sure what kind of cash hes gonna command but think he might be a good fit for us at rt. i know hes a lt but i think he has the size to move to the other side and could be the road grader sparano craves.

You hit the nail on the head with stating that no one was playing full speed. Brick isn't what one wants in a powerful, road-grating, RT. He's a finesse LT and is fine where he is.

Plus I think a LT commands more money than a RT. No sense in paying two LT salaries (e.g. if Brick was moved to RT). So unless McNeill wanted to move to RT and was willing to take a pay cut, I don't think he'd be a good fit.

I think this is a legitimate good option for the Jets. For one thing McNeill has been exposed as a LT nd is a much better fit at RT and I highly doubt at this point in his career he is going to command top dollar.

McNeill and Brown both good options for the RT position.

McNeill had neck surgery in 2008. I think he had vertebrae fused. He's also only played 20 games in the last 2 years, and couldn't pass the SD physical, so his 2012 salary isn't guaranteed, enabling the Chargers to cut him without penalty.

McNeill is a LT who was scheduled to make like $10+ million in 2012. If he's healthy enough to play, he's NOT going to accept a switch to RT or play for RT money because some team will offer him much more to be their starting LT.

Too expensive. Someone will offer him LT money to play LT and it won't even be question which deal he takes.

According to all the analysts, the 2012 draft is loaded with right tackles.

No way the Jets pursue a FA when they can get a young guy who can step right in.
