The Pats losing the SB was a much better outcome for the Jets.

No SB losing team has made it back to the SB the following season since the 1993 Bills.

No SB losing team has won the following SB since the 1973 Dolphins.

Meanwhile, numerous SB winning teams have repeated SB appearances and wins in the same time period.

I'd rather the team in the Jets division face those odds than the team in the other conference we share a stadium with.

It doesn't matter, as long as they have Brady we will need to win 13-14 games to win the division.

Well, now we're going to have to buy another black curtain to cover up the Giants latest SB win for the next time we play.

I hope that doesn't hurt our salary cap too much.

One way it does help us is can Welker mentally get over that drop? That's going to be a tough one to overcome, essentially costing his team the SB

I wish we'd never done that
I hope we walk past the trophis in silence from now on
and I hope we keep a sense of modesty even when we win the SB

You guys have been saying the same thing for over the last 10 years.

Guess what, the Jets haven't swept the Pats in over a decade.

Prob true, but this was your year to win it. Can't expect to keep getting far with a lackluster defense. The talent you've drafted recently hasn't been great outside of your 2 TE. Where is the new youth movement coming from with an aging team?

It's incredible how the Pats have managed to waste pretty much the whole of Brady's prime years.

3 SBs is not wasting his prime. Could they have won more? Surely. But to say they wasted his prime is ludicrous. 3 SBs in 4 years is an amazing feat.

Oh, and they have another 4 picks in the first 2 rounds this year. They'll reload again. So long as Brady stays healthy, they have a 4-5 year window.

Not to mention have like 40 draft picks and only hit on as many players as the Jets had picks in the first 2 rounds.

I'd say the Super Bowl wins came prior to his prime years, but I suppose that is subjective.

    Dead on.

Pats will continue to compete for the Super Bowl the next 5-6 years.

For a QB of Brady's magnitude, there is no prime years. His entire career so far has been "prime."

Since being tagged and caught for cheating the Patriots have not won a Super Bowl.

Adam Vinateri won those games for the Patriots

To me it was more of a bad throw than a drop

    Legitimate superbowl wins:

    New York Jets - 1
    New England Patriots - 0

    Cheaters gon' cheat

Yea, 64-16, 4 AFCE titles, 2 AFC Championship titles and 2 Super Bowl appearances really sucks over the last 5 year period.
