    C. Pennington 9/14 54 3.9 0 0 3.9 average on passes. I know this is the preseason but this is the samething with chad all the time. Short dink and dunk passes. When he does, he rarely comes close to hitting the WR(throws it out of bounds, over the WR head, short so the WR has to wait). These types of quarterbacks will never open up the defense cause he cant throw the long ball. Now I dont want a QB to throw deep all the time but sometimes you have to. Now with no running back, he is in even bigger trouble. I have a bad feeling about this season but I will still have faith. I dont hate Chad I just dont think he is our future. From what I heard, Clemens is the same weak arm. What was the reasoning in getting him. Also how do u not go for it on 4 and 1 in preseason. Damn Indy went for a onside kick.

Where did you make up the idea that Clemens has a weak arm? Where did you "hear" that?

Can we close the Jets section down until the Redskins game? :)

You heard wrong. If you actually watched the game, you could see that is not the case. I also suggest you start getting football info from better sources. The one you're procuring info from obviously isn't on the ball. All throughout offseason, analysts kept praising Clemens' ability to throw the ball.

Cons: Kellen lacks ideal arm strength and struggles with deep passes. He tends to pull the ball down and run to quickly, he will need to improve his decidion making. He can be rattled and knocked off his game. Poise in the pocket will be the key to any further success at the next level.

Are you kidding me you tool? Have you ever watched him in college. His calling card, that right there shows me you have no clue. Go back to watching ice skating, and let the men watch football.

We got Clemmons for one reason...his ARM STRENGTH. You couldnt be more wrong. Who cares about your damn scouting report, he was firing the balls yesterday, he has fired the ball in TC, and he fired it in college too. Clemmons cant manage a game yet and doesnt make the best reads, but when he does he certainly has the arm strength to get the ball there.

Early draft reports indicated Clemens had a weak arm. However, fan and media reports from training camp have suggested otherwise. Now I wasn't able to catch the game last night but from those who have it sounds like Clemens in fact has a gun. Now, it shouldn't be overlooked that last night was a preseason game. Many offensive coordinators are hesitant to open up the play book in the the preseason, particularly in the first game. I am willing to give Schottenheimer and the offense some time to get comfortable. Hopefully there will be more attempts to go vertical than the dinks and dunks in recent years.

    Clemens has a strong arm...

...not a Favre or an Elway arm but definitely an above average NFL arm. I've seen him throw it 70 yards in the air in a game. That's plenty of arm strength.
