I can't believe that certain WR is still on the board. I would bet a WR goes to cleveland, but a different guy than the faller you are talking about...

Well, you have to be here to make the pick.

Hightower will upgrade that front 7.

It should be that certain WR though I'd be shocked if it wasn't. If not he's moat likely destined to be a Texan or Bronco.

I was thinking the same thing. If the draft goes this way, Cleveland fans should be happy.

And I hope they do take that WR. I may need to remind the Lions' fans of the Matt Millen era

Yea he was definitely considered, but i'm hoping Shipley can come back from that injury at some point this upcoming season. I also was intrigued by pairing Kirkpatrick and Barron together in the same secondary.

I believe if they were to add Kirkpatrick and Barron they would go from one of the worst secondaries in the league to one of the most promising.

Matt Millen era or not, with no OL on the board, taking a WR might be an awesome move for them.

Can you imagine an offense with the following plyers

    QB Stafford
    RB1 Best
    RB 2 Leshoure
    WR1 Megatron
WR2 ___________ to be filled in
    WR 3 Titus Young

to go with that defense? Holy hell, I'm not even a lions advocate but its nearly jizz worthy

Yeah, that would be scary good... Stafford would probably be the happiest QB , at the drivers seat of one explosive offense.

i would think so. Plus it would follow the lions recent draft strategy of going BPA and building on a strength. Which imo is definately a very good strategy in the NFL.

I still think they highest priority should be OL along with some help at the LB position, but with no one with value there in this case, this move would make sense. Since they are in a division with the Packers who routinely put up 30+ points, another weapon could only help them compete.

As the Lions GM are you counting on Best?

    1 more concussion and it's a wrap.

Originally I was hoping to go OT/G, but both Adams and Glenn went off too early. There still is 1 OL I would consider for Det next, but we will see. On defense, I am hoping some guys drop in rd 2 after hoping Kirkpatrick or Jenkins would unlikely fall

If this was a 7 rounder I might be looking harder at a RB, but I am not so sure about taking 1 in a 3 rounder. They are getting Leshoure back so RB hopefully that should improve from last year

they drafted leshoure last year, plus there isnt really a RB worth their pick right now.

but you have to be scared shitless about best.

They should bring Kevin Smith back as insurance, along with Leshoure returning.

FWIW, I just received a text from Jetfanmack (Brown's GM) he's on route home and will make the pick in about 20 minutes.

Not that the sports are the same but look at Sidney Crosby.

After that major concussion he got tapped by a teammate and it knocked him out again. Best, unfortunately, is in the same spot.

Not sure of that pick just because Colin McCarthy came up big for the Titans in MLB this year in his rookie year.

You got hurt with no real guard available but they could have taken one of the 2 available WRs.....

That being said, TEN could grab a WR in round 2 or 3.

Adams might be a top 20 lock as we move further along in the draft. MAYBE Glenn too.

Griffin and Wright must be giggling like schoolgirls getting to play with one another for years to come in CLE.

That press conference is gonna be all smiles. Great pick.
