The offense looked bad.No execution no penetration no explosiveness out of the backfield.Chad did not throw a pass over 20 yds.Nothing was opened up.

Coles and Crotchery looked ok but but who will get them the ball?

    Clemens looked impressive.

We are going to suck this year. I think that there is no way to get around that. But the team is rebuilding and everything will be taken in virtual baby steps since we have a ton of young players on the team. The only offensive squads without a huge number of new faces are the WR and TE units, which weren't sterling to begin with.

The short passes in the first game are for these two rookie O-linemen and the rest of the O-line players that are taking live snaps together for the first time. Our OC knows that this is the only way we are going to develop a rhythm early, otherwise the O-line will become frustrated early, which we do not want. The rest of it, all of the conservative stuff, is the CS taking a walking start during a very important time in the process. If they refuse open it up once the line starts to jell, then maybe we should start worrying.

I doubt they'd open up the entire playbook in PRESEASON. It's just not very practical.

Offense was definetly conservative, especially when Chad was in the game. Clemens looked impressive in the 2-minute drill. He made some plays, and when the defense didn't give him anything, he didn't make a mistake by forcing throws. He showed good composure and led that lil' drive quite nicely.

I do not know if any of you guys saw some of the highlights / scores from around the league. These teams came to play tonight and some opened up the playbook in game 1. That ATL - Pats game had the feel of a regular season game and was pretty good. Going with dinks and dunks does not prepare your team for the season on offense. In all reality, this gameplan probably was tailored around what coaches feel what the players can handle, not because they do not want to show thier playbook.

Your a fan of one of 3 teams who Jets fans can bash for sucking more than their own team.

Hackett is back... so is Ted Cotrell, 168 yards given up vs the run.

What are we supposed to do? Show the NFL our whole entire playbook so that teams know exactly what to guard for when we play them?
