It is very troubling that any of the quality assistant coaches that have interviewed have decided not to come here.

I know a lot people rip Todd Haley but the guy is passionate about what he does and was a great OC with Ariz and has a great football background. He decided against coming here and so did the DL line coach from the Vikings. The key to building a team is to have great coaches who are teachers and instead we are signing inferior guys like the clowns we are bringing in from Miami.

unfortunetely I think that the free agent players are going to feel the same way.

are we really bitching about low level position coaches. Jesus Christ 90% of football is the QB, the rest is just window dressing, RELAX.

BTW, did you really expect a HC who was in the playoffs last year to accept a position as WR coach on this team? The OC position and DC positions are already filled, Haley wants to be a HC, not a third tier guy behind Rex AND Sparano.

That's were you are wrong. When you come here for an interview you want the job. We did not offer the job to the DL coach. So please stop making things up, thanks.

Haley would have been assistant HC and head of the passing game.

i am convinced assistant head coach is just an imaginary title given to random coaches on random teams. some teams don't have one. the jaguars seem to have two.

i know "head of the passing game" is an imaginary title.

i'm not surprised haley wasn't interested in the job(s).

I missed it. Haley blew off the Jets to go where?. Karl Dunbar was fired and took a better job where? Ridiculous!

LMFAO you do realize the "Head Coach of the passing game" IS BELOW THE OC on the food chain? The man was a HC for a playoff team last year, he's not interested in settling for a third rung job when he could still land a HC gig or at worst OC gig.

Really? Never been on an interview to try and leverage a position elsewhere? The guy was a freakin' HC last year. To be a 'passing game coordinator' a position below the OC, would be a total slap in the face, especially with the personality Haley has. Didn't blame him one bit.

I believe Dante Scarnecchia is the Pats assistant HC. He will never be the HC.

This is the dumbest of dumb, we can find great coaches on the college levels if we have to, we dont need proven guys at every single position/coach.

We already got the head coach of one team to join our staff. Just because Todd Haley is unlikely to join our staff as an assistant offensive coordinator means we can't get quality coaches?
