agree. best case scenario, giving Vlad one more year to play behind a vet and back him up. he could be damn good in man coverage once he develops more technique.

Is Sanchez spewing Maps of Hawaii all over Kate Upton's face?

Assuming he's healthy, I think getting Turner back is the piece that most clearly should be part of the picture. I also doubt VD blossoms at all. But I also expect this FO feels invested in VD, since they picked him, so he's probably going to make it at least as far as camp.

That would tend to put Hunter in position as the odd man out. Good point.

I think Turner coming back will all by itself make the OL better. But that would not be enough. And while I am not as down on Hunter as some, or even many, here, it's clear he was a downgrade from Woody. An upgrade at RT would help the OL as much as any other single move.

Of course there are plenty of other holes to fill, and that goes into the mix as well.

The news articles released a few months after Vlad's pick-up stated that he was having to re-learn football. To me, that sounds like you can pretty much write off anything he learnt in college and we have to wait until he learns "NFL football".

I don't think Ducasse will be ready next season but it's not necessarily his fault. 2nd round is probably too high for a project pick, whatever the intangibles. I hope he proves me wrong soon.

I'd be shocked if he was cut prior to the end of his rookie contract. I highly doubt the FO expected him to come in and be a starter his first couple of seasons. It was expected coming into the draft that he'd need time to learn.

It's pretty obvious that the Jets think he's terrible. They had him playing guard last year but they've given up on that after his godawful pre-season and those couple of snaps at Baltimore, going with newly signed Colin freaking Baxter at C rather than Slauson at C and Ducasse at G; then when Moore got hurt Schauderaff was the backup. So ok, he's just a RT but he can't even steal time from Hunter?

He's an awful bust. Too bad, so sad, it happens.

Can't believe a 2nd round project.....ugh. See how he does in new system and cut if there is no improvement. Will be interesting to see if it's him or system.

I think he'll get the benefit of training camp to make the squad as a backup, but i'm not optimistic.

If isn't showing a lot in camp, he should be cut in favor of a better backup.
