Sounds like an offensive player, not a oline guy. Had to be someone not happy with his production. To me that's points to the WR's. My guess would be holmes, Burress, possibly Tomlinson. Scott sounds good, but would he comment on the offense?
I don't know who these sources are but to call out your quarterback in the media and remain anonymous is very stupid there supposed to have his back thats there teammate the fact that this happened shows a great lack of leadership in the locker room i love rex but he needs to get a handle on his players
The "prominent" player is Woody. I read an article today, he said the same thing about how the NYJ baby Sanchize.
Interesting stuff, nice work, but Mason and LT both went on record and gave their names. They didn't say anything that outrageous that they would ask to be off-the-record.
Wasn't LT the one who initially told the public there was a problem w/ Holmes? If he was the kind of guy to criticize Jets anonymously then he wouldn't have spoken so candidly right after the Miami game. My guess would be either WR or one of the defensive players. Defensive Player: Considering how frustrating the offense was this season, I could see a defensive player ready to throw offensive players under the bus. Especially as Mark gives up the pick-6 and the scoreboard is making the defense look bad. WR: There's something about this position that really brings out the diva personality. Plus we've already read so many articles on one of them quitting on the team.
Jets source can be fairly nebulous, it could be Schotty for all we know lol. Plus no-brainer is a fairly common saying. Prominent player doesn't leave as much interpretation, but I do get the feeling most of the anti-Sanchez stuff is coming from either the D or Holmes, who hasn't exactly been shy about whining.
Here you go: http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/sto...-jets-hire-tony-sparano-offensive-coordinator Cimini says there were rifts between Sanchez and Holmes and Burress. So there are two of the anonymous sources. We're down to one rat left in the cellar at this point. Burress will be let go to the free agent process no doubt. Holmes will have to be resolved some other way, maybe a draft day trade for a mid-round pick. And the third guy is just waiting for his name to surface.
I think after the complete meltdown this year and the locker room mess, Rex will make sure this team comes back stronger. God knows how pissed off and determined he is to prove his talk isnt cheap and his team can perform. Looking at the current coaching changes, Rex has already taken a big step towards fixing this team.
No way Mason is one of them. It would make no sense. He is not even a Jet anymore. LT might not be one anymore either. And if it is both of them, then Manish has become a joke overnight.
