    Sparano called plays only once in his life, for the 2006 Cowboys. Let's see how he did. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_Dallas_Cowboys_season
    506 passing attempts - 405 rushing attempts. 5th in total offense and 4th in points.

    - It was Tony Romo's first year as a starter (started 10 games, Bledsoe pulled after the first 6):
    Comp/Att -> 220/337 -> 65.3%
    Yds -> 2'903 -> 8.6 avg
    TD/Int -> 19/13
    QB rating -> 95.1

    Romo went to his first Pro Bowl after this season (not that the pro bowl really matters).

    - The base offense was changed to a 2-TE formation. 880 yds and 78 catches between the two.
    Witten -> 64 rec - 754 yds - 1 TD
    Fasano -> 14 rec - 126 yds - 0 TD

    - RBs combined for 1740 yds and 20 TDs on 405 attempts on a 4.3 avg.
    Marion Barber III rushed for a career high 14 TDs while running for 654 yds (4.8 avg). He also recieved for 196 yds (8.5 avg) and 2 TDs.

    Julius Jones ran for a career high 1'084 yds (4.1 avg) while scoring 4 TDs. He was thrown the ball for 142 yds (15.8 avg) and 0 TDs.

    - Terrell Owens and Terry Glenn both had a +1'000yds season with 19 TDs between the two. Patrick Crayton was the 3rd WR and had a +500yd season.

    - Cowboys went 9-7 and lost to the Seahawks (21-20) in the Wild card with Romo's botched hold.

    If we can stay fancy in the red zone...should be groovy.

    We don't have the TEs or the RBs to run that kind of offense, I assume we know the first order of business in free agency and the draft.

    Nice to see the offense scheme change midseason & still win. Jet don't have the talent right now to run a 2 TE offense with success but at least they've got an OC capable of making major adjustments midseason successfully. Jets failed each time they tried to change their offensive scheme this past season.

    Add to that they were 5th in total offense and 4th in points that season. Pretty impressive considering the qb change.

    Marion Barber III, Julius Jones and Anthony Fasano aren't exactly all pros... getting Julius Jones to eclipse the 1000 yd mark was impressive.

    I wonder if we'll bring him back for the off-season.

    Still should be pass rush help at the LB position.

    Wasn't that the year Barber was a total beast..... running over people like he was trying to be Earl Campbell?

    That style of running ends careers quick

    Amazing things happen when you lineup in one spot and just play football.

    Well, don't forget we have cumberland coming back off injury. I liked how the TEs looked during the preseason last year, minus the few drops. Maybe it's time to draft a late round TE? Keller had a bad year, Baker was decent, Mulligan was crap.

    Try not to prop up Mulligan so much. Mulli doesn't even equate to the corn in this morning's turd this season.

    Tony Romo is a hell of a lot better than Sanchez.....let alone the fact he had T.O, Julius Jones + Barber and Witten.

    The Jets O in the playoffs the last 2 years with Shotty have done far better than Soprano's teams in the playoffs.

    Sparano wasn't the OC in Miami so not a fair comparison. The one time Sparano was the OC in the playoffs they lost the game because Romo fumbled a snap I believe.

    mulligan
    [muhl-i-guhn]   Origin
    mul·li·gan

    noun
    1.
    Also called mulligan stew . a stew containing meat, vegetables, etc., especially one made of any available ingredients.
    2.
    Golf . a shot not counted against the score, permitted in unofficial play to a player whose previous shot was poor.

    mulligan
    "stew made with whatever's available," 1904, hobo slang, probably from a proper name. The golf sense of "extra stroke after a poor shot" (1949) is sometimes said to be from the name of a Canadian golfer in the 1920s whose friends gave him an extra shot in gratitude for driving them over rough roads to their weekly foursome at St. Lambert Country Club near Montreal.

    This can't be our beloved Winny?

    He was a quality, thoughtful poster.

    Who is this knee-jerk negative imposter?

    his lack of experience as a "Winner" makes me nervous here,I could design a playbook that would be perfect for Sanchez
