I think everyone needs to improve, I actually thought he improved w/ his playcalling this year. he wasn't into the trick plays as much and that was my biggest criticism of him. Don't read too much into those late game drives, D's are playing softer, w/o the sense of urgency and hoping they complete passes keeping the receivers in bounds.
When was that? We ran the ball on 3rd and 15+ virtually every single time we were in the position. I can't remember it working once. Some wildcat plays were decent, but overall I didn't miss them at all. Every time Schotty tries to get cute, it fails, just like that drive against the giants calling for 3 pass plays when we needed to score and run down the clock. Stick to the fundamentals, stop trying to trick everyone, they know its coming.
That is true. We did finally pass out of the wildcat after a year, and we scrapped the plays with Cromartie out there. Luckily we did that against JAX when it really didn't matter or cost us a game.
Looks like Jets have to either fire him or we are back for another fun year Manish Mehta There you go. Schottenheimer out of the mix RT @taniaganguli #Jaguars are hiring Mike Mularkey, according to source. #nfl
