Yea I am so tough. Lets have an internet brawl. Its just people like you make me really angry. Your logic is that Tebow won and Stafford lost. Mark made it farther than all of them last year so clearly you do not understand your own dumb logic. All of those quarterbacks lost before Mark did last season and therefore they are worst than he is due to your logic.

Repeat after REX: Sanchez is the "long-term solution"

Good point. Denver has a good defense. Pittsburgh dared Tebow to beat them last night, and he showed he could make the throws. Tebow had more plus 40 yard plays yesterday than Sanchise had all season. Tebow unquestionably LED his team to the victory, not riding to victory on great d or running game a la tj Yates or Sanchez. Sanchez didn't have the weapons on offense this year, and he is not a franchise qb.

    That's an absolutely meaningless stat.

Sanchez's playoff numbers make him one of the highest rated QBs in post-season history. Doesn't mean he's an all-time great player, obviously, but it's foolish to pretend that he's just ridden the defense and the running game to a good playoff record. He's played well, he's played a significant role in winning some games, he's done things limited, game manager types can't do in the post-season.

Mark Sanchez is a GOOD QB, not Elite.

It's not like he's Rick Mirer...REMEMBER HIM?

See? Things could be alot worse....

I suspect if the Jets played a defense that didn't cover anyone then Sanchez could probably throw for 300 and a few touchdowns.

What has he done to make him a good not elite qb? Based on stats hes a mediocre qb, average at best.

He played the Pats who were dead last in the league in defense and the giants who got raped by both the cowboys and eagles, in 59 attempts he couldn't get 300 yards while Tebow got it in 21 pass attempts.

It's like you spent your forced board hiatus thinking up the stupidest thing you could say upon your return. Yeah, Tebow's a better passer than Sanchez. That's a great argument to take up.

The bad oline stalled Sanchez progression this season but despite having no big receiver like a Calvin Johnson and a bad oline he still managed to score 26 tds with 6 rushing tds. I believe if he still had Braylon and also last years oline he could have tossed 30+ tds this season easy. Thats a fact. The guy was beaten up all season.

He had that opportunity twice this year against the Patriots.

He failed miserably against the worst defense in the AFC.

you must think it's easy to win playoff games, Sanchez and the Jets have FOUR ROAD playoff games, let's see Yates go into Baltimore an dhelp Houston win b/c Sanchez helped his team beat 2 better teams on the road in the div rd the last 2 years. You can have the '85 Bears D(which we didn't) and you still need quality QB play to win in January. People think it's easy, did you notice any road teams winning this week? Did you see this was just the 2nd postseason where eli has led the Giants to at least one postseason win? did you know it took Peyton manning until his 6th season to win a playoff game? and he had better talent around him.

It's not easy to win in Januayr, a 4-2 record- all on the road- says a lot about our QB.

Mark is a tough kid, Mark is a good kid, Mark is a hard working kid, Mark is a kid who will be back next year...Yet Mark is still a kid !

His flaws are his flaws and we have all seen them, if you think he sucks or just needs more time, they are glaring and have not been corrected. This coming year will answer all questions, if we have a solid backup on the team who beats out Mark in an open competition, well there you go. If Mark wins the battle and is the starter and earns the spot then maybe his fourth year will be the charm.

Peronally, and this is just me after over 40 years of watching the Jets, just don't think the guy has what it takes to be a long term starter in the NFL. A excellent back up yes, but an elite carry your team on his shoulders win games on his shear force of will QB,,, NO..
I truely hope I am proved wrong and have to eat a large plate of crow, but I see the Jets cutting ties with Mark after one more season.....

there are 4 or 5 of those guys- Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Ben and Peyton when healthy. Those guys are hard to find, we have a QB we can win big w/, we need to upgrade around him.

we lost both NE games b/c of the defense, the giant game was a team effort where the game changed on a 99 yd TD pass. Eli was probably worse overall than Sanchez that day yet his team won.

We will never be able to upgrade around him to the point where we win anything. People get old (the Jets already are) and it costs money, on top of that Tannenbaum couldn't see talent if it grew on trees..we will never be able to build through the draft..the only choice is to get a top talent QB that mask all the other flaws.
