Read somewhere on twitter that the Holmes he is hearing about now is not the Holmes that he knew last year.
He said (read it somewhere) that, for him, the way Rex ran the team (everyone able to do and speak whatever they felt like) was too distracting and he felt he didn't really fit into that style. He likes a quiet Steelers locker-room much more. Hard to disagree...
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ivers-complain-to-rex-ryan-about-the-offense/ That's the real source of his frustration.
Everyone on this board was pretty happy with team (the 2010 Jets) that Cotch was unhappy with. Moreover, other than a great catch with a bad hammy Cotch's 2010 play was well below his 2008-2009 contributions.
Hopefully the removal of captains(and the stupid patches) plus the attacks from everyone will get Santonio to focus again next year and play like he is capable of.
I can't see it. Seriously if someone crosses the line like this Holmes affair I don't see how there is anyway back it will always be there in the background waiting to erupt. Next season could be very ugly unless we see some leadership from Rex, with all this money tied up this is a complete shit-storm.
I agree there, but he was playing hurt. Kerley seems like he's goign to be a perfect fit as our #3 wideout. He has return skills and so far looks like a great option as the wildcat QB. I'm excited about the kids potential.
he gets the guaranteed money not his salary if we cut him, still a boatload but not nearly as much as he would get if he was on the team and what other team is going to pay him big $$ after 2 teams got rid of him? That's a motivator for him to get going. Don't need one, just need to fix the OL.
They need an entire new offensive roster just to run his retarded WCO/Air Coryell hybrid turdfest of a playbook.
It's funny, last year, Rex was drawing praise for creating a locker room climate guys wanted to play in. Now, that same locker room is "undisciplined", "chaotic", and "toxic." I wouldn't disagree with the assertion that Rex needs to tighten the reins a bit, but it's ridiculous, this implication that his looser approach can't work. It worked fine the last two years, when certain key elements that were missing this season were in place.
