Kind of a low bar to clear. It's like saying that a 3 win season isn't as bad as a 1 win season. I suppose it's true, but it's far from good that one year of dysfunction was followed by another.
I know I said it in another thread, but I was very surprised when Mike T. admitted on Mike Francessa's show today that Sanchez did not play well this year. They dance around every issue so much I'm surprised instead of Hunter or Mulligan, Sanchez is the first player I actually heard the GM flat out say didn't play well.
haha ya I agree. It's like comparing two fat people and arguing over which one is skinnier. Either way its bad stuff, but we got through last years turmoil, and I expect the same this year.
Ownership, the media, most of the fan base. He's never mentioned, it's always Rex's, Sanchez's, Shotty's, Holmes' Scott's, Rush linebacker's, etc. fault. What no one mentions is he's the guy that's employed each and every one of them.
And here I thought because of Rex there was this cosmic shift in the franchise's identity. This is like what the last days of Pete Carroll would have looked like if the internet was widespread back then.
You might have something there. I am kind of wondering how Rex puts the train back on the tracks now. He kind of had the deer in the headlights look during the new conference whenever he looked over at Tanny. He was pretty straight up with the audience but it was pretty clear that he was afraid of what Tanny might say on some questions. Tanny was nervous also when Rex was talking about a few things although he hides it better. He just gets a bit paler whereas Rex gets red in the neck and face when he's worried.
Many Jets fans. I post on another Jets' site and 3-1 there like Tanny and think he's done a good job. I think his ass ought to be fired.
I understand where you're coming from, but in my opinion all those things weren't really on the field issues, with the exception of the tripping thing, and that was one individual's actions rather than team performance. This year, it's all about the management, CS, team play, and the lockerroom, which is much worse imo.
Tanny deserves a pass UP TO NOW... but next year is make or break for the whole crew...Tanny Rex & Sanchez
no one deserves a pass---this is a mess  this is very hard to clean up especially with the approach they are taking---there is plenty of blame to go around
this team has become such an embarrsement and i blame Tanny and Rex more then anyone. If things don't go right next year Rex and Tanny will be outta here
as time goes on the Two AFC championships will start to mean less and less.People act like we lost two Superbowls or some shit
Our Fan base is regressing. They used to jump off a bridge after a 4-12 season and now its .500 thats the tipping point.
^^ agreed. next year is going to be huge and i can only hope it will be as enjoyable to watch as 2010 was.
Just stop reading it all. If you do not read it you will not have to worry about it. Next season is 8 months away and things will be different.
Last year we covered up the issues because we won. Everything is overblown when your 8-8 and preach superbowl. Come to think about it, we should have won a few more games this year but we didn't play with the fire that we've had in years past. I agree that this offseason there will be a lot of change. Players and coaches will be held accountable and Tanny is on the hot seat. If he fails to fill the holes on this team he will be gone next offseason.
this. we didnt win fucking either of them and honestly last yr we talked so much shit all playoffs and played inspired ball until pittsburgh and we came out totally intimidated in every way. i still wont forget that first half
